This is just the opinion on one, a lot of people do “not” like to fly heavies, or visit large congesting airports in GA aircraft. Flying heavies is the most boring thing I’ve ever done.
Some of the small Belgian airports by Jan Cuypers are quite good. Some of them don`t match very well with the colours of the area around of them, but best of them are pretty good. And for me it looks like Belgium and Netherlands are pretty good in general in sim out of the box.
For the GAs, there is great freeware out there already. But I think it really depends on where you’re flying, so this thread would just get congested with stuff people will never visit…
For Germany I can really recommend Essen/Mülheim EDLE, a medium airfield in the Ruhr Area near Düsseldorf.
It has near Payware quality and great features (workers depending on daytime, seasonal features and weather dependent features). You can get it at bahrometrix.de.
But there are many more great sceneries around, so I just suggest to head over to flightsim.to and use the scenery map feature.
OK guys - go to https://flightsim.to and on the left side click on Scenery + Intl airports or regional airports and then on the top line sort by most downloaded or most liked. Et Voila!!! All you ever wanted to see in terms of the popularity of community airports and scenery with ratings out of 5. Enjoy!!
Well, that came off as a pretty rude and aggressive and I really can’t understand why.
And while I agree with you that flying heavies is boring, other people like it very much and surely will benefit from this video. That does not negate the possibility that the next video will be about some of the great GA airfields out there. After all: Dmvega did say that this was the FIRST video!
Thanks for all your comments, all my videos basically have two goals:
Highlight the great work done by developers (payware and free) to improve our hobby. Sometimes it happens to me that when I buy or install a scenery I am not aware of how much the default scenery can be improved. In fact when I make my videos by comparing between the default and the addon I can see those differences and appreciate even more that work of the developers.
With the arrival of FS2020 there are many new simmers and my videos seek to provide you with a bit of some referential information before you buy / download / install an addon (payware or free).
This is the first of many more airports to share, and if you share with me which are your favorites it would be very useful for me to review them. In Flightsim.to there are 1200+ airports today, and I am sure there are many excellent aiports that are not yet gaining popularity and are not the most voted or downloaded yet… so your help is very much appreciated
