He wants frame generation? With vr? Who does not want? But it does not work with VR. He is asking for VR.
I missed that part. I thought he was asking for both 2D and VR. Just realized it was just for VR. Well it doesn’t help VR, doesn’t hurt it either, so might as well leave it on.
Hi there, I am on a lower tier (4080 i7 13700) but I think you guys can still answer my question 
I am also trying it with 2D 60Hz 2k monitor DX12 FG HAGS On TAA and TLOD between 150 and 200 and frame rates are fine but when I am popping out the ATC window to a second monitor (so that it does not interfere with my cockpit view) I get stutters and many times also CTD. Is this normal for FG? I am asking because if I run without FG then I don’t have this problem. The same applies to screen tearing - I get it with FG when I pan around the cockpit. Maybe I am applying the wrong settings with regard to Vsync in NCP ?
take a look at this [BUG LOGGED] Performance Decrease when Using Pop-Out Panels - #786 by mobbe123 there seems to be bug in MSFS when popping out windows to a second screen. Hopefully we will get a fix sooner or later.

Frame generation together with screen scaling above 100% is what causes the graphical artifacts. Using Nvidia DSR as an alternative to screen scaling removes the graphical artifacts but G-sync may not work in that case.
For the time being I think it´s better to stay at screen scaling 100% when you use frame generation but it will result in worse TAA quality, in particular in the mid and long range, as SSAA won´t be active.

How does it look? does it look like 15fps? I have a 3080ti and 70fps average. I just got a new machine with faster CPU and 4090 and the dev mode fps reading is 30 and it’s red. HOWEVER… it’s awesome ultra smooth like real life visuals. CLEARLY FAR BETTER than the 70 fps I was getting with the old card. So I figured the FPS display is phoey and turned it off and enjoy my ultimate setup.
Like I said in my other post - my slower card reported better than 4090 but it clearly “was shockingly better” with 4090. I have 12700 cpu. This i7 is much faster (in benchmarks) than the i9 I had with the 3080ti. Though it shows red and says 30 and less mine is EASILY over 90fps. It’s as smooth as the FS2020 trailer videos.
YEP I realized this LOOONG ago. I run 5120x1440 like him and another 27" on the side. Can’t move panels to another monitor.
I’ve got everything on Ultra and TAA 120. Don’t bother with DLSS.
