Manchester Area control was closed several years ago and was absorbed into Scottish so BATC is correct. The only Manchester freqs are associated with the airport.
Try a reinstall of BATC?
yes, I also tried all the steps suggested by beyond atc, I also tried to increase the clients in the simconnect.exe file but nothing changes. I donāt know what to do anymore
Are you using anything else with simconnect that is clogging it up?
I usually use various programs including navigraph, fsltl, volanta, raas and fsrealistic. But I tried to start the simulator also in clean mode with only batc but it still does not connect
Do you mean in safe mode or are you disconencting them via something like addonlinker?
ps. why use FSLTL with BATC? the traffic wonāt be seen and BATC now has AI traffic that is seen.
That is really my only knock against BATC. There is WAY too much conversation between AI flights. Or maybe put differently, it simply uses too many words (characters) to say what needs to be said. It also tends to break up instructions into separate strings rather than saying what needs to be said in one go, if that makes sense. That, to me, tends to make is sound rather monotonous and robotic after a while.
My only other ādonāt likeā is that one has to be far too exact in what is said when responding to ATC.
All that aside, BATC is REALLY coming along nicely. Apricating it more and more every time I use it.
FSLTL is split into two elements, the injector and the aircraft models. BATC just uses the FSLTL models, so the injector need not be used or even installed.
I know that but he was suggesting FSLTL was using simconnect so that would suggest injector use.
Have to say Iām enjoying BATC. Vectored approaches actually work. You canāt say that about default ATC.
Well I got it working but the stuttering is unbelievable. I tried a short flight from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Even at a default airport EGPF with a setting on 3/4 on sliders in the default TBM. FPS is ok but the stuttering is making it unusable sadly. Such a great addon but just so frustrating. Iāve lowered all my settings as much as possible without the sim looking like mush but I think the 4k FSLTL textures are just too much for my PC - which by the way exactly meets the ārecommendedā spec from Microsoft so it is by no means inadequate.
Assuming the stutters were there with and without BATC? Just be aware there is also a bug in the sim at present that causes stuttering at certain airports. Iāve found another at stock EGPD.
Stutters only happen when Iām running BATC. Iām starting to feel Iām investing too much time now trying to get this running - was hoping it would be just intally, load and go⦠So before I drive myself crazy with it, Iām uninstalling it for now and will revisit when the base sim is more stable and maybe I can upgrade my GPU/CPU in the new year. Thanks for all the advice anyway, much appreciated.
Iām using fsltl traffic now since batc doesnāt connect to the simulator, as for the other programs I have to open them myself to use them so when I start the simulator itās clean
Iām curious, how much of a jump in resource use is there going from FSLTL injector to BATC? Perhaps some of the issues above are from running out of RAM, which seems to be more of an issue in FS24 than in 2020
Seeing as how it is using FSLTL, AIG and FS Traffic models bing used Iād expect utilisation to be similar. The difference being that with FS2024 there may be more core utilisation going on. But you do see a performance hit from AI traffic no matter what is doing the injection. Iāve not measured RAM utilisation though.
Yes, but BATC does a bunch more computing than a simple āinject plane in range with flight plan X, remove when out of rangeā
I know P2A bogged over 4GB itself during my testing, and that did not control NPC planes - only was aware of them.
- No VFR.
- Live Weather .
- Simbrief does not have the Grob 115 E Trainer.
- Strange instructions away from the destination.
- Dubiuos runway choice for the wind direction.
- Slow responses.
Any more?
Will BATC support the Flightplans from the new EFB?
Looks like you bought the wrong product brother! Presume you did read up and agreed to the terms, actually you must have done because the programme wouldnāt let you continue until you did.
Obviously it doesnāt meet with your expectations so why not just bin it and stop going on about it here. There are literally thousands of simmers who are very satisfied, even if itās still in early release condition.
