Yes. Either one will work. All GPU-bound settings should be maxed out (NOT LOD, that’s CPU load). As I stated in my earlier posts, I prefer downscaling from DSR 4.0 to get my GPU render latency right at 32ms or just slightly below in the most taxing scenery areas I visit, usually overflying those areas under 500 AGL and watching the dev mode FPS counter to set it. You won’t be main thread limited anymore, and the microstutters and terrain pop and morph will be reduced. The CPU will be able to keep up with the GPU, and that fixes pretty much everything.
