I have gotten comms 1 to work a couple of times but not always - in the GPS unit overhead open the ‘menu’ and go to comms - tune the required frequency for comms 2 ATIS then press ‘enter’ or ‘select’ or whatever to confirm - then do the same for comms 1. No matter if the frequency is already correct - just manually enter it again and use the select or enter button to confirm.
This works sometimes - not every time. Check it by opening ATC in MSFS and first check that ATIS works and you can hear it - then switch to ground and see if the radio works
Same here. On Discord the developer says it will be fixed with the next update.
Thank you. I just tried that. But I found out, that clicking com1 mic kills the ATC, only when clicking on com1, com2 and com 2 mic, you will have ATC
ok - well apparently there is a fix coming soon that will take care of this.
Maybe they can figure out the muted engine sounds in the cabin too

Yup already addressed. Working on the floats, wake, spray and sounds that we hope to get into this weeks update.
I’ve got a quick question to BR Norseman or BR P-40 pilots: in order to start the engine you’ve got that two-way switch. Holding it in one direction spins up the flywheel, pushing it in the other direction engages the wheel and hopefully starts the engine.
The trouble I’m having is how to correctly interact with these switches, especially in VR.
Basically no matter what I do the switch always gets pressed down. At some point by seemingly random chance it may get pressed up, but I can’t seem to find what I need to do in order to achieve this.
I’ve tried left click, right click, cockpit interaction increase (that works but only for a second), cockpit interaction decrease, hold left click and move the mouse up, down, right, or left. No joy on any of them.
Have any of you found a way to interact that reliably works?
Grateful for any pointers so I can go back to enjoying these fine birds!

Have to say you guys know how to put a good old used, battered and noisy plane together
Picked my Norseman up today. Best things:
- The windows opening change the sound (please don’t forget the Goose repair for this!)
- The PipBoy CRT (worth having JUST for this!)
- The feeling of weight and how it shifts with tanks emptying at different times (you guys nail this every time).
My first landing wasn’t so hot. -125fpm too firm for her?
I can’t get this to work in VR either. The switch won’t flip up reliably to start the engine.
My workaround is to start it in flat screen mode, where it seems to work. I left click and hold on the switch. Then drag down to energize, and then drag up to start. Then I switch into VR.
I’ve had this problem in VR in some other planes as well. I wonder if it’s an Asobo/VR bug.
Thanks! That’s also how I’m doing it for now.
Hopefully BR or Asobo can find a solution to this eventually!
Hi All. Does anyone knows why the gps screen is all black in The Norseman? Can’t find the answer anywhere and there is no reply from Big Radials to my question.
I assume you mean the hidden GPS screen above the pilot?
Not a problem I have encountered before. Have you tried launching the game with an empty community folder (aside from the Norseman of course)?
If you have, maybe it’s an issue that is tied to a specific livery. I’ve seen that odd sort of connection before. If you want you can let me know which livery you’re using, which state and which airport you’re spawning in, then I can give it a try this evening.
Hi Hayray. Thanks for Your time answering. Yep, the GPS above the pilot. My community folder is always empty, except for the AFC_Bridge. I am using Addons Linker.
I don’t have any other liveries than the ones from Big Radials. Right now i am spawning in EKCH, but it is the same nomatter where I spawn in to.
Actually just found out I had fsltl trafficbase- and injector + flybywire externaltools sombridge in communityfolder. Now moved to Addons Linker. Still the same.
Have you switched on battery etc.?
Hi Unsealed Karma36. Yep, everything looks ok, except gps. Thanks for Your answer.
an update for the RCSAF version:

still waiting for the update so I can include the correct wing textures, then I’ll upload them.
Do you have any addon GPS installed that might be interfering ?
Hi EdamllamaB
The sollutions of most problems often turns out to be as simple as a piece of cake. Workingtitle-gx by Working Title was interfering. All fine and running. Thank You very much EdamllamaB. Happy Happy.
Great to hear you found a solution! Sorry I haven’t been able to check yesterday, but I wouldn’t have found the Working Title conflict anyway…
