Today i reinstalled JustSim EDDL, since then i have the CTD too. Also i bought JutSim EDDH today and got CTD at EDDH too. If turning off Bing Data (or uninstall the addon) gets rid of the CTD/Crash. So sad! Pls fix this Asobo!
Can’t be certain but the sim kept CTDing when trying to load a Dublin addon. Can’t remember now where I got it from, prob. Flightsim.to; was okay when I removed it. My set up has hardly ever gone CTD before but it happened 5 times, when I was trying to get from the World setup page to go flying.
Very odd as it loaded okay yesterday. I didn’t try any workarounds, just used the stock Dublin which is actually quite good anyway. May have a “play” later.
I can assure you it isn’t an assumption…
Bing is experiencing issues with their data stream, which supplies Bing Data World Graphics.
Those graphics are stream based, so when problems with that stream happen, it does create issues.
There are a lot of posts in here in the last two days on the issue.
Searching for “Bing Data”, and sorting by “Latest Post” will give you a lot more info on this if you’d like to look into it further.

At this point it is so frustrating what happens with every little tweak from Asobo. The only benefit is the look of the sim and that’s it. I re-installed Xplane 11 again and bought me the Airfoillabs 172 so i can fly and everythink works.
The issue is within the .cgl files that some airports are using. Only Asobo can fix this and hopefully they do it within the next few days!
I have installed EDDH and LEPA from Justsim a few weeks ago and there is no problem at loading the airport. Yesterday I bought EDDL from Justsim and now I get CTDs if I want to load the airport. If I rename the CGL file the scenery loads without problems. What is this CGL file?
If it was the BIng streaming at fault then a clean installation would also CTD. Fortunately is does not and the Bing based data streams fine. It seems to be a conflict between 3rd party ortho and the Bing ortho.
Honestly I consider myself a fanboy of MSFS, but with this issue and that is storming on every forum (here, official, orbx and aerosoft), MSFS team should be held accountable for this issue, it includes Asobo, Jörg and Bing team. With little acknowledgment to nothing officially from MSFS team, they broke the our lovely sim to state that is “bearable”, I know you can fly with bing switched off but it looks ugly as it gets and kill the immersion. Very disappointed indeed.

Yes, that is the issue with that stream, it originated with Bing.
That is streamed from them.
I bought the Salt Lake City airport by bredok3d that caused ctd, I couldn’t get in touch with the developer and asked Microsoft for help, they just washed their hands of the issue and quotes their policy, terrible customer service and left a sour taste in my mouth.
The developer is their business partner, they get a cut of the commission but want zero responsibility.
That’s pure greed.
It seems they know there’s issues with scenery file names conflicting with each other and have told the devs to make sure they are all unique names but have quietly and cunningly kept that secret from the consumers.
You do need to do a good check of a developer’s reputation before you purchase anything.
It is no different than any other purchase you would make.
Build quality varies immensely by developer.
The forums here as well as vids on Youtube are often filled with info.
It also is an indication of the developer’s reputation when they knowingly don’t even bother to respond to issues, or even inform their customers, long after they were informed of the issue by ASOBO.
The MS Store is no different from any other store.
They sell other peoples products.
MS doesn’t have the legal right, nor responsibility, to go into a 3rd party author’s software to fix those developer’s issues.

It happened to me 12-02-2021 at around 8:am GMT, that is when I started to get CTD using ORBX EGNM, it took a whole day to work out what had happened by the way, glad I have Acronis backups to go back to, this is how I realised it wasn’t an issue with my system.
Also I never have any cached data switched on, so I saw this effect straight away, other users who have cached turned on didn’t see the issue immediately.
Yes, I have this issue right now - from about 20.30 to now with EDDL and EPGD. Both are addons. With the stock airports it works.

Obviously, that is ASOBO/MS’s issue to deal with!
This is just my advice on buying anything for flightsims, based on my purchases over the last twenty-thirty years from numerous suppliers, so that other purchaser’s don’t suffer the same fate as the poster.
There are numerous software suppliers out their, most have an extremely strict, or a no return policy.
I took a flight tonight, with the Cessna CJ4, landing a few miles from Paderborn Lippstadt Airport the simulator closed. I state that I downloaded the free Aerosoft airport. How can I fix it? Thanks.
For me, first crash was around 7am, Feb 13th, Japan time. That was the first fly of the morning. Consistent after that.

This started happening today only for me. I have used the LOWS scenery for about a month now with no issues. Nothing has changed on my PC, default aircraft and nothing in the community folder. Only addon is LOWS that I BOUGHT from your marketplace. Very unhappy, terrain spikes still not fixed, not content with breaking the sim like that, you (Asobo) now break it so we can’t even use the scenery we have PAID for.
I bet if everyone stopped buying addons from the market place we will see a quicker fix as MS/Asobo will be losing money, unlike the terrain spike mess which they don’t care about.

It happened to me around 15.20 UTC when I landed at Justsim EFHK. I was breaking on the runway when the sim crashed. And afterwards, as I try to load EFHK, the sim crashes.
