I don’t use Apple maps, but both Google and Bing both have accurate satellite images of the current roads around GSO - in fact, when it comes to Interstate 840 on the north side of Greensboro, Bing is more current. The issue isn’t even getting the map data itself into the sim. As I said, there are cars already driving where the road should be, but the road itself is not in the scenery.
And certainly no driver would ever be able to use airport charts to get from one point to another, but using road maps to navigate VFR is completely valid. In fact, the very first flight I did after installing MSFS was to start at KINT, follow US52 down to I40, then east to KGSO. But that’s not possible when coming in from the north, since the roads that one would expect to lead into KGSO (and that have been built and open since prior to the release of MSFS) simply don’t exist.
