I just find it hard to believe there is no algorithm that can’t be coded that would stitch all those tiles together automatically.
Same in SU4 beta latest. Unfortunately
Can confirm, lot of black lines in latest SU4 Beta build.
Pretty sure its a new issue and those that had to be hand fixed are another bug.. This is literally occuring everywhere in the world - and started with SU3. I never had this new worldwide issue in 2020, something is bugged in 2024. They can fix it if they can introduce a problem just like that.
I think what we need is a new thread to track this new issue… It will just be buried here forever i think.
If you make a new thread it will just get merged into this one by the mods, I’m fairly sure.
Yep, i already tried over a month ago.
They fixed SFO… as said airport by airport.
All I can think of is that this bug report was originally for FS2020 and doesn’t seem to have been carried over. It might be on the 2020 bugs list but I haven’t checked.
Using MSFS 2024, there are weird lines in the ocean water, never seen these before (see screenshot)…
any idea what is causing this?
We have been trying to figure it out for the last 4 years.
As the poster also said “never seen before” these middle out in the water black lines didnt happen 4 years ago. Its not the same root cause probably, when it started happening in SU3. MS/Asobo, can we please get a separate thread for the new issue that occurs in 2024?
Because you didn’t see it does not mean it didn’t exist before SU3. The black lines have always been in FS2024. There is a post from Nov last year about this issue still present in FS2024.
The video is private so its a bit unclear if its the old photogrammetry related line bug or the new one. My experience has been perfect up until SU3 as far as water related issues, then it just appeared everywhere with SU3. It either regressed there or the issue was present and regressed further, doesnt really matter. The issue is that the way these lines appear in 2024, doesnt seem to be tracked individually, it clearly is another issue as turning off photogrammetry doesnt fix it, as it does with the photogrammetry linked issue that started ages ago in 2020.
It was never caused by photogrammetry. I always keep it off since early days of MSFS because it looks awful but the black lines have always been there. Some parts of the world have these lines, others don’t. It’s not consistent across the globe. If you didn’t see them before it’s probably you didn’t fly over areas affected by this bug. EOT.
The thing is that it started appearing on a route i basically almost only fly in the fenix (EKVG-EKBI or the other way around) and i never saw them in all the 5 years i flew this sim and route - thats why im confident it has regressed or started happening with SU3..
