After last world update my reverb g1 have a strange behavior, sometime it show a series of black screen and the simulation freeze briefly, after that it continues normally and smooth until the next series…
Before update i never have had any problem and i was very happy. Everything started after the last update of the sim. To complicate all, Windows have made an important update and then i cannot know if the problems are due to update of sim, of windows or both. Unfortunately it is not even possible to restore the system because windows does not allow me
Updates apart, I do not touched any configuration of MSFS or installed nothing.
Nobody have had similar problems?
In previous posts I read that a possible issue can be due a hardware problem, but if i use other games like X-plane or DCS I do not have any issue, only with msfs2020.
I tested the RAMs, tried them on another computer but it seems all ok. I tried also to change the RAM but the problem is still there.
I read also that can be a reverb problem but if i use it with another game the problem never appear.
I also noted that reducing the cursor “custom render scale” on OpenXR Developer Tools for Windows Mixed Reality to 60% or less (before it, my system was setting to 75%) reduce the frequency of black screens, so it seems a software issue, but i am not an expert. The only thing I have to do is change the motherboard and the processor but I have just bought them and I do not would want to do it if not strictly necessary.
Same here Just updated windows and Nivida driver’s to 417.11 to see if would help and no difference . About every 15 seconds head set goes dark for about 5 seconds.
Can run DCS and Elite Dangerous all day with no problem.
Any ideas?

Figured it out I must have Bing Data turned ON and my VPN turned OFF. Working good now. Don’t know what my VPN would have to do with it unless Microsoft wants to track us.
I believed that happened only to me, but i see I am not alone
Some days ago I made several flight without black screens, for that I believed that the problem was resolved, but today black screens appeared again and several times. The flights was made in the same area and with the same weather preset to see if the problems would repeated, compared to the previous post I only changed the RAM. Result: 5 flights without problems, 1 flight with black screens. I am not able to explain myself why.
I do not think that is a issue of HP Reverb G1 or a computer hardware problem, because i noted that just before black screens the simulation stutter heavily, freeze and then… black screens for 5 o 6 times. After that follows a period of smooth simulation, then stutters, freeze and black screens. On the monitor the simulation appear freeze.
Nothing similar happened with other simulators like DCS and x-plane 11.
The only thing left for me to do is install windows 10 and MSFS2020 again … but I prefer to wait for the exit of SU5.
I hope that the next simulator update could resolve the problem… crossing finger
