Haha we all know the feeling when you’re starting a night flight, flip the battery on, headlamp goes off and now you can’t figure out where the switches for the panel lights, flood lights or even the battery so you can at least have the headlamp back went.
You can manually turn the headlamp back on. I think it’s ALT + L by default on PC, if I didn’t change it to that key combination myself.
I’m on Xbox and I don’t usually use a keyboard, although I have and you can, but the desk real estate is enough for either a keyboard or my laptop for background TV or YouTube
and my Velocity One has plenty of buttons for the important maps. That’s really what I should do though, I can set a modifier binding of some sort for panel lights.
Edit: or really headlamp like you say, that way I can get everything more easily configured, esp on planes without the best lighting for all the controls you need on startup but not much else.
My B60T has 2 bugs.
- The throttle levers move but, the rpm doesn’t increase at all. I have been trying to fix it for 5 hours.
- The 2 Garmin displays are black and will not power on no matter what.
The throttle bug makes the plane a big runway weight. I wish I could fly the plane. If someone who had this problem before could help me fix this, I would be eternally grateful.
PC, Xbox one elite series 2 controller, everything is up to date.
That sounds like a conflict between the Duke and another add-on in your community folder.
I am going to take a look
I just checked. I dont have anything that could conflict with it.
All the same, have your tried removing everything except the Duke? Putting it another way, if you didn’t, how did you know they weren’t conflicting?
I have a really minor one. Honestly, it’s the lowest priority thing, but if you shut everything down on XBox at least there’s an electrical whine still. Popping the main bus fuses makes no difference so something is still making the electronic fan noise when it shouldn’t.
Is it the gyro spinning down? That takes some time…
Hello Frascattack, regarding your issue #1, the RPM not increasing… I’ve had that a few times when I forget to advance the blue propeller pitch control levers (between the red Condition Levers and the black throttle levers). I’m assuming your issue is with the Prop RPM not increasing.)
Just a thought.
Also make sure you don’t have reverse thrust or similar bound to a control which is active. I’ve had that in the past before realising the toggle was active.
For half an hour? I’ve like gone to eat lunch with it parked but my system on and it’s still been making the whirring noise when I got back.
Yes. Precisely that. This is a Blacksquare aircraft and is true to life in so many ways. The gyros will spin for a long, long time but if you listen closely, the pitch changes as it slows. Enjoy the Dukes, they are rather special.
Well, very cool to know. I love it.
does this show you the luggage and cargo in the holds appearing when you increase the weight there? like the 414?
Not likely. In a debonair I can hear it spin for a few minutes though.
Well next time I’m done flying any of them(same behavior in the standard, grand and turbine) I’ll just leave it sit with everything off with my xbox on for an hour and see if it ever stops.
Either way, if it is a bug couldn’t really care less these are awesome aircraft.
Those are advanced. I even started the flight as an approach and engines stay at 10%. No matter what I do, the throttle wont advance. The levers move, but the engine wont throttle up. Just to give you some insight on my experience with flight simulators, I have been playing msfs since 1995.
