Thanks - will look at that. Learning…!
is black Square coming to the Xbox?
Be interesting if they do, as the Black Square stuff Piggybacks on the default external models, adding radar pods, tip tanks and a few other improvements and new liveries but otherwise using the default aircraft external model.
Anyone dealing with random crashes with this Add on? I love the plane. I have several add on A/C that are fine for hours. It seems after about 30 mins in the air I get a CTD with it? I have tried repair and still am getting CTDs? It always seems to happen when I click something in the cockpit one time I was changing the FPL and another I was adjusting the heater vent?
Any help?
I m not aware of issue or conflict, have you tried with only this aircraft in your community folder ? avionics are up to date ? are you using a specific livery ?
Stock livery. I just using the stock Gns 530/430 stack. Only other plane I have is the PMDG 736 738 and the BB King Air all which run great and stable.
I recomend you to give it a try for few flight with only the bonanza in your community folder, and why not with most recent GTN750 ( GPS for MSFS2020 ) to be sure all component are loaded and not generating custom error
then if it run stable, bring back slowly one by one your mods
also if you suspect the bonanza causing CTD it may be worth reaching JF support to share with them
Maybe that GTN file is the problem when I switch to the 750 I just get a black screen. I was looking at getting the payware GTN750 for it.
don’t force yourself to pay right now, the pms50 is free, you can get additional features if you get a license
right now it s enought for stability testing
I run the freeware pms50 version of the GTN750 with the Black Square Bonanza fine, I even run the WTT compatibility download with it.
I do get a “GPS not found” issue with the 530 but apparently that is a known bug that occurs for some people with quite a few planes.
hi I thought I had read somewhere in a JustFlight facebook page, they said “yes” but not in a close futur
and another mention to the marketplace in a more “recent” (27th march) post about baron & bonanza
One problem I’ve noticed, that I guess might be a bug, is that if you hit ‘Restart’ on a flight, for example when sitting on the runway, the KAS297B Altitude Selector then doesn’t show zero and cannot be operated. You have to go back to the main menu and start over to get it working again. Only a small problem in a great product!
Just picked it up and I’m wondering how accurate the flight model is? I can’t pinpoint it, but this feels easier to fly. I sometimes wonder if developers tame things down.
Maybe easier to fly = more realistic? See A2As Comanche 250.
Easier in what way? What phase? And compared to what? Flying a plane shouldn’t really be hard. It’s too dangerous for that!
It seems to have less ground crosswind handling issues compared to the default and improvement versions. Although I haven’t flown it enough to know for sure.
There are a number of threads in this forum, going back 2+ years , that speak to the unrealistic ground handling model in FS2020. I’m not a RWP (yet?!), but RWPs seem to be unanimous that the crosswind handling (weathervaning) on takeoff and landing roles are not modeled realistically on many aircraft, and in the sim in general. I’m guessing/hoping that the BKSQ aircraft have more realistic settings than the stock aircraft.
Good (long/ongoing) thread below:
I even upped the flight_model.cfg options for wheel friction and crosswind effects in the default. I thought I pushed them too far but I’m getting much less weathervaning in this model.
I need to find the manual, lol. This airplane has some avionics systems I’m not familiar with and the checklist finder eye is about as useless as always.
manual is on the aircraft install folder (1), on JustFlight product page (2) + support section (3)
(1)
(2) Just Flight - Steam Gauge Overhaul - Analog Bonanza
(3)
It seems almost as hard to start as the Spitfire. I read through the process on the manual a few times.
I may need to key bind the starter as it’s hard to crank the starter and work the throttle at the same time in VR.
** Edit **
I did a new binding for the starter and that helped. Now I can move the throttle at the same time as cranking.
Although I need to keep the fuel pump on, keep cranking, and slide the throttle up until it fires up. Engine temps to start are ambient (around 90F). The procedures don’t seem to indicate needing the fuel pump on for the cold start.
