Black Square Bonanza Professional Fuel pump key bind in MSFS2024 PC

Hi.

There is an option in the button settings to turn on the fuel pump by holding the button down, but in the Black Square Bonanza the pump doesn’t stay on (“toggle”) like in other aircraft, am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?

I’ve tried unsuccessfully to find a command assignment that works for the fuel pump.

Hope someone has a solution.

It is a 3-way switch that uses the variable:
LVAR:var_fuel_switch_pump_1

That variable has 3 values (0=off, 1=low, 2=high)

If you are asking about the sim’s built-in control bindings I can’t help with that since I don’t use them. It works perfectly in SPAD. I have a Streamdeck button that switches between 0 and 1 on short press, and when held switches to 2.

I would have preferred to use the sim’s built-in control bindings, but I also have a streamdeck and probably next I’ll try to get the pump working using AAO, SPAD or something like that, just need to get to know how they work first…

I can tell you that SPAD (and probably AAO as well) have a significant learning curve.
Start now and stick with it. It may be frustrating at first, but the rewards are great.

If you choose SPAD, join the Discord, and watch Les O’Reilly’s YouTube channel videos.
Sometimes they’re a bit hard to follow, but he does put a lot of good infomation in them.
Recognize that he’s a user, like you and me, and has a passion for teaching SPAD.

Although there is a learning curve with SPAD, it also has access to many other user profiles that you can import and use. In many cases you will not have to start from scratch and you can also see from those profiles how buttons/switches are mapped, which is also very helpful.

I finally successfully set all the necessary switches on the Stream Deck using AAO.
