I picked this up on Simmarket and noticed no updateā¦Is that similar to marketplace updates where they are the last to get updates?
Theyāre definitely faster than Marketplace but from my experience usually slower than the other major stores like Contrail etc. Black Square products is best to get at their home store, which is Just Flight. But I would expect it to show up on Simmarket soon, anyway.
Massive amount of rudder trim to keep it from drifting off. Also, the sounds are not an improvement except for the overly loud vent air sound which has been improved.
Eagerly awaiting some videos of the new update, iāve heard some say the sounds are much improved mainly the prop. If they are then itāll probably tip me over and iāll buy it. Need all the Blacksq stuff.
I donāt have enough experience around PT6ās of any sort, so as long as it doesnāt sound like a 1600CC air cooled Type 1 Bug engine, Iām good with it!
I tried it briefly last night, but I donāt remember hearing anything engine wise that seemed greatly different. I know there were some external audio differences, removing static elements, but I didnāt concentrate on those.
Ok, Only reference i have are different streams online mainly V1 sims. Bsq always get the sound spot on together with Boris and being a sound nerd i like it right. I know it will be good. From what i heard the first version was fine and then a weird 2 blade type prop sound was added on the second update that didnāt sound right kinda drowned out the PT6 song.
I was looking for if thatās been fixed, still waiting for a stream showcasing it.
Anyway iāll end up getting it anyhow.
Just flown 1.2 and thought it great in 2020. Sounds and beta handling seem improved to me. In short, love it.
This wasnāt in the 1.2 change log, but does it seem that when braking during taxiing, the nose dives down a bit more than before? Or maybe itās because I had a heavier load then normal yesterday, close to MTOWā¦
It may be my imagination, but on startup, Iām hearing more turbine and less prop. Seems appropriate since Iām behind the prop where it usually seems quieter in real life. I just did a short hop from Lake Tahoe to Monterey with zero issues. This plane is easy to fly and easy to manage - especially with the cabin heat and AC.
Now if we could only get the same treatment on a ground-up King Air!

After trying the Caravan Pro version 1.2 , I can still hear this ureal rumbling sound during beta mode.
I have flown Caravans for more than 1000 hours and have never heard that IRL.
Are there any current IRL Caravan pilots out there who could provide real beta and reverse sounds to Boris Soundworks or Blacksquare?
Not at PC to check, but how do I update pc website purchase version.
Is it a case of deleting current version from community folder and redownloading?

I always uninstall the current version and then download and install the new one.
You donāt need to. I watched the process. The installer deletes the old folder in the community folder and installs the new version.
Anyone here having issues with flight tracking software ie NewSky or OnAir recognising the new Blacksquare version?

OnAir worked fine when I was using v1.0.1 of the Caravan, Iāve not had a chance to try v1.0.2 yet.
Yeah 1.0.1 worked ok for me but not 1.0.2.
I raised at ticket with OnAir and they said it was an issue their end yesterday and it was fixed. Still not working and wondered if it was something I was doing wrong?
I donāt uninstal, but move the folder elsewhere so I can then run a file comparison between the two versions to see what they changed.
