I had exactly the same issue when using the KLN-90B GPS unit, so I’d be very interested in any replies. I’ve just realised I didn’t see the issue at all using the GTN750, but I was pretty strict in keeping on top of gyro drift in that flight - not sure if that’s related at all.
Mixed feelings @GeeDee On one hand I am glad I am not the only one, on the other it is sad that others also experience it.
As for gyro drift: I am pretty good about not allowing it to go off too much so I doubt that is the root cause.

Great, thanks. So it is a general/known issue with a workaround that is just too convoluted and too much of a hassle. I will just ignore the MSG indication until they fix it.
Try pressing “MSG” to close the message window.
Yes, that is the way it normally works. But in this case, it just closes the popup box but the yellow “MSG” display remains.

What an interesting coincidence! This has been a minor irritation for me ever since I got the aircraft on release. Months later I bring it up here and it turns out Blacksquare created a fix almost at the same time! Thanks for being a link to the Blacksquare forum, I should clearly have joined their forum from the start.
I did apply the fix in my code and all works fine. Yes, what a coincidence!
