Waiting for that fo sho!!!

Anyone have any idea of a simbrief profile for this badboy? She fast, she goes high, I love it.

This one seems to work

Almost finish.Still the EDM760 to modify and solve my biggest problem: negociate with developpers to change the mapping of the RMI.It’s shared with HSI which is too large for the RMI.I need them to map it to the second KI-209…I keep you advised

I’ve bought the Black Square Baron and it looks amazing inside. Haven’t had a chance to take her up yet but before I do I’d like to manage expectations. Does this version of the aircraft have a decent flight model?

Not really, this is definitely a default - and old - Asobo FM. The King Air used an exusting mod, and I’d not be surprised if the Bonanza used the G36 improvement mod one ( I dont have it so I dont know ), but this feels stock & not great as it arrives. I did my usual tweaks to help it deal with turbulence ( much needed ) and give it a little weight but I’ve never been near a Baron, it’d be nice to get something done with experience.

I agree with VanDisaster above.

The FM imo needs a bit of tweaking and doesn’t ‘feel’ quite right. To me the Baron feels as if there is little weight to it too (using the Honeycomb yoke) despite applying a few tweaks to reactivity etc.

In comparison the flight models of the King Air and Bonanza ‘feel’ a lot better, at least to me.

do you guys, tried the beta flightmodel from JayDee ? just wondering, maybe if you have any suggestion, join his discord and share with him.
I remember how hard it has been for him to help BS to draft the king air FM and to satisfy most of people …
people complaining about his drag on ground, then once the drag stopped to be an issue , it was the landing distance etc… as said it s very hard to tweak with tons of values, to finally be a story of compromise.

the baron is so fresh …

Yes, I am trying the beta flight model from JayDee and appreciate as always the time he spends helping us out :slightly_smiling_face:

His work on the KA was great and improved its FM greatly imo. The Baron still doesn’t feel quite right yet though imo even with JayDee’s mod.

I know that I am being very vague here which I realise is pretty unhelpful but not being a RL I’m not sure that I could bring much to the party here other than to say that it feels a bit light :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

My SOP is to remove all artificial stability, increase MOIs and then look at the elevator if necessary ( in game its all-moving, so it can be an awkward thing to tune ). Tweak, tweak, a bit more tweaking… the old FM has a couple more things to look at for adjusting feel but changing as little as possible is the ideal.

Reactivity behaves like there’s springs in the controls & isn’t natural ( even if there are springs, returning to centre wouldnt have a delay ), adjusting the aircraft’s inherent “reactivity” also deals with input from turbulence as well as a more natural feeling of weight. The main problem is realising when you 've overdone it…

Obviously not every aircraft needs it ( there are a couple just fine as they are ) and really small aircraft just don’t seem to work too well without doing something drastic - I have a feeling reducing effective atmosphere density might help but that’d mean redoing everything.

I don’t think my engine was flooded . The sure fire method is fuel boost pumps on hi for atleast 40 sec . Starts everytime

Fuel boost on high is the only thing which works for me too.

In my case, maybe 25 to 30 seconds.

My case is 5 sec starts everytime

Nice FM work, thanks!

It seems that the Heater does not draw any current and no voltage drop. Any one else?

Can we get an efb control for optional cape cobra?

I believe the heater is a gas powered unit in the nose of the aircraft, not electrical.
