Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - King Air 350i

Black Square mentioned here, that the KLN-90B would be added in the 2024 remake of the Baron and Bonanza:

That’s awesome. Hopefully we can convince him to extend that to the King Air and Caravan too.:crossed_fingers:

My fire extinguishers say “discharged” on them (I’m sure I fiddled with them). The manual states only maintenance personnel can refill them, but I have no idea how that happens.

Anyone know?

Restart the flight.

It’s persistent it seems. It’s been this way for weeks now

I think you can refill them through the maintenance/failures menu on the WX radar.

Hmm, I did activate them just to understand the function ages ago and I thought they reset themselves after a restart. If not then my other suggestion would of been to try resetting via the wx radar interface.

Air Manager Panels for the King Air 350 now available.

You are my hero!!! i have been trying to create a panel in air manager for the BSKA, and is about 40% done graphically but I suck at programming. This panel is an absolute must for my king air cockpit! Would it be possible at some point to use the CRT EFIS and EADI for the Black Square version as well?

Looking really sweet on my panel!

No the CRT EFIS is a popout from the Xplane sim. Blacksquare went another route.

I understand. I was just wondering if it would be possible to use the assigned variables from the analog ADI and just use that to drive some EADI graphics. I have a work in progress EADI that looks the part, but has barely any functionality. Maybe I could use the BS ADI variables and assign it

Just remembered that those bits are Xplane 12 and they are not popouts but in fact streamed displays. Yes of course one could develop native ones but I’ve no plans to currently make them for MSFS. It was a ton of work doing all that.

Totally! For the record, I really appreciate all the work you put into this! This is going to speed up my cockpit building drastically! Thank you so much!

Are those tablet screens mounted longways in your panel? With AirManager or similar going?

If yes…so you could, if you wanted to, simulate other aircraft with that same physical panel? Just by switching up what’s on the tablets?

Missed this on my last visit here. Really nice setup you have in work there. Great to see all the instruments being used in an application like that. Just shows how versatile they can be.

Has anyone flown with the new update? I got an email last night from Just flight that there was update to King air as well as one other aircraft. Didn’t get time to read the change of list.

If Yes! What has been changed?

Scroll this page up and you will find the answer.

I hadn’t flown this in months, so of course I had to dust it off after the update. Still a really good plane, though I feel like I’m cheating myself as I don’t do the 500-item runup checklist lol.

I will also confirm that there is no overspeed warning horn. If you don’t throttle down on descent, well… [insert sad trombone sound]

Will try to get another flight in this weekend…
