Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - King Air 350i

so there is an update coming to the kingair today for the engine start issue or am I still doing something wrong? lol

Same here. Thanks JayDee

replace this line in engine.cfg

Yep. Just deleting from the Community folder won’t work - the original installer still senses 1.1 is there. Remove program took care of that. I’m back and up and flying beautifully again, with a working TDS 750! I’ll wait until the dust settles but am thankful to be flying again.

And if it’s any consolation - I launched a corporate website yesterday and know the feeling of needing to make hot fixes and getting hammered with “feedback”. LOL. Hang in there devs - we’re all pulling for you!

The change in engines.cfg mentioned above fixes the issue, but if you don’t want to fiddle with a cfg file, I expect there will be an update very soon!

Thank you Captain for your help.
You’re right, but on the runway, the engines shut down immediately. Is there a reason or am I making a mistake?

To all you fine people:

We found the bug that causes the torque and propeller problems. The Dev has forwarded a hotfix to just flight and we hope, that it will be available soon.

I can assure you, that the problem was a SU11/SU10 incompatibillity of the number of pairs in a parameter in the engines.cfg., which worked in SU11 , but not in SU10. Usually it is the other way around^^. We appreciate the help of the community to find that bug, especially all the kind people who tried some changes and dedicated their time.

For people having problems with the GTN750 - please make sure you load the latest version, especially if you are in BETA SU11.

Kind Regards
JayDee

I tried the engine update but this doesnt work on my side

All owners of the Analog King Air - Today has been frustrating, the excellent update became unstable soon after release and we released a quick hotfix, that helped some bits but caused other issues, which you’ve been experiencing. Black Square, with help from volunteers have worked frantically for the past few hours to get things sorted. We think that’s happened now so a new version has been uploaded and you should head to your account and redownload. The version is still numbered 0.1.1.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Today was sent to test us, that’s for sure. Here’s a direct message from Nick at Black Square:

SPECIAL THANKS TO JAYDEE AND NICOTINE70 – When v1.1 was released, there was a bug that would prevent the engines from starting. This was the result of an undocumented change to the engines.cfg file in SU11 Beta, which all the developers and testers of the Analog King Air just happened to be subscribed to. This allowed the bug to go unnoticed until release. As soon as the bug was reported, it took the hard work of my volunteers, and cooperation of many on the forums to find the error, and fix it. We are very sorry for this interruption in your enjoyment of the Analog King Air, and hope that you will now be able to enjoy the new v1.1 features and improved flight characteristics in this aircraft. Thank you all for your patience.

Excelent work and customer care…

This is how small developers show, specially to large companies, how its done !!!

If a bug crashes a working piece of software you stop all the work and fix it, that’s the number one priority.

Many thanks…
