Hmm… I was able to hit 3.2+ and climbed to 76,000’+ with the latest version.
Phew! Is the memory and LOD any better? Hoping the Xbox marketplace update comes soon
I didn’t have a vram issue with the last version so I can’t compare but the LOD at least for the cockpit is better and I don’t have blurry textures with TAA anymore. Overall it was a great bug fix.
Not my experience at all. I have had no problem refueling to full and going right up to 70-80k’ and reaching mach 3.2+
Are you starting in flight, by any chance? I had been needing to use afterburner just to keep up with the tanker and the AoA was hanging around 13 degrees. Then I tried a runway start and all was well. It was like it got itself into a completely different flight regime and wouldn’t resume normal flight.
I have also had the brakes not work while taxiing, but I have found two “fixes" that work for me:
1.) Even though the SR-71 doesn’t have a parking brake, I’ve found that if I toggle the parking brake keybind, the brakes usually start working again. If that doesn’t fix them, I try the following…
2.) Go into slew mode, slew the aircraft a few feet / meters, then return to normal mode. This has definitely worked for me, but I can’t say how reliably it works.
One and/or the other tactic has virtually always fixed the brakes bug on my system. Strangely, the brakes problem hasn’t been cropping up much for me lately.
I think this usually means there’s a contact point issue, and the plane has gotten stuck in the ground. I’m not saying it’s Blackbird’s issue, but this is often a good solution for getting unstuck.
I am having an issue with air to air refueling. When I press the refuel switch nothing happens for about 5 seconds, then the plane repeatedly crashes until I exit the flight. I read the manual provided by blackbird sims and followed the instructions, but the problem continues.
Perhaps check out the support forum for the SR-71. There’s one or two topics on there with the same issue.
