Posting after having tried every tip I found on the forum in the last 2 days.
I’m using an HP Reverb vr1000. The headset is working on the Windows Mixed Reality app as well as in the OpenXR Developer Tools demo. HDR is deactivated.
When I switch to VR, I can hear MSFS music through the headset audio but cannot see anything.
Is this a know issue for this model of headset? anything else I could try?
I’m running a laptop with both an Intel and Nvidia GPU. If I try to view a VR video on the web without explicitly enabling dual GPU support, I get the blank/black screen as well. I believe this also uses OpenXR, so my theory is that MSFS is doing something similar (VR is potentially using a different GPU). Unfortunately if this is the case, I don’t know how to get around it.
On the flip side, the one thing that makes me think this isn’t the case is that VR does seem to start in MSFS, but isn’t controlled by the headset in any way.
When you switch to VR make sure you have your headset on your head. Otherwise it may run the VR view in a window on your monitor. Sound will still come through your headset. I had to figure this out myself. Use Ctrl Tab keys to launch while wearing your headset.
Thank you for the responses. Still no luck here. I tried switching to VR with the headset already in my head did not work. After pressing Ctrl + tab, I start hearing sound and I see some luminosity (as if the headset displays were on but dark), yet nothing else than that.
