Blank screen on startup

I recently purchased FS for my PC…it is a high-powered gamer machine, no issues on being able to handle the sim. Installation from the MStore went fine. When I try to start up the sim, I get a blank black screen and nothing else…end up having to use Task Manager to cancel out of it. I’ve tried everything talked about on-line…re-install, update Windows, update graphics drivers, disable firewall on install, check time settings…the list goes on…nothing seems to work.

Has anyone ever run into this and, if so, how did you solve it? If the sim wasn’t so good, I’d have asked for a refund by now…but holding onto the hope someone can help me…

Are you waiting long enough as it starts out as a black screen, then the company logos come on after the black screen.

How long is long enough? I think I’ve waited over 30 min at least a couple times…

Did you install to the default locations?
30 mins is plenty, shouldn’t be more than a couple.

Could try uninstalling the small around 1.3 gb MSFS app from the Microsoft store and re-installing worked for me in the past when sim wouldn’t go beyond that first black screen.

You won’t have to re-install sim if you only touch that small app.

have you checked your accounts/logins ( xbox app, etc ) ?
