BlueBird Simulations 757

You’re right! Hopefully…

In their defense it did take a little over 4 years to develop and fly the real 757, so they’re on pace with Boeing.

I hope everyone remembers that they chose to abandon all the work done by one of their programmers who quit halfway through development. They chose to start from scratch because they believed they needed to do that in order to deliver the product we want.

I know it’s hard to put personal frustration into context sometimes. And the limits of patience are different for everyone.

Exactly – it is not 4 years to make a 757, its 4 years to make a good 757, and ultimately I’m glad they went that route. Not discrediting anyone’s disappointment, but the way I see it is I’d rather be disappointed during development rather than after I bought it, which has unfortunately happened too many times with a few other developers.

I can akin that to Lexus developing the LFA, developed the whole car in aluminum to the test drive stage and then said “no it’s not what we want” and started over using carbon fiber. But the result was an amazing sports car with an amazing sound. Great things take time when done right

There’s an image going around touting the release of the 757 TODAY (23rd Feb), $75.72. I suspect it’s fake as there’s nothing on their social media, but some companies do literally just drop huge products without fanfare.

Will not be releasing anytime soon. But maybe PMDG version of soon?

It’s been confirmed to be a fake

Yeah, fake. The same happened to PMDG recently. I have no idea why anyone would do that. I’m sure there will be fanfares for the official release. One of the most anticipated airliners for MSFS and has been in development for so long…

As soon as I saw it I suspected it was fake. But strange things do sometimes happen…

I think we should get it before summer.

Bluebird specifically said nothing will be released before Q3. A native FS2024 757 could easily be 2027.

Just in time for the arrival of MSFS 2028!
