Blurring in landscape texture MSFS2020

Hello everybody,

My landscape texture in the MSFS2020 Premium deluxe version already shows a blurring at a short distance (already on the runway), which gradually becomes more pronounced as I fly over it. I also have the feeling that this has only been the case with me since the first patch (September 2020). From the first start I was fascinated by the sharpness of detail. And now this change.

I can’t find a setting in any of the graphics / data options where this could be changed. My user-specific settings in this area are almost all set to HIGH (otherwise various constellations have also been tried out).

Does anyone know this problem and whether or how it could be solved. Is it related to the rolling cache, or what does this cache do (delete it too)? Here, too, no change can be recognized by switching it on or off.

Happy Flight

What is the terrain level of detail slider set to and the anisotropic filtering and super sampling?

Thanks for your quick reply. I wanted to check but unfortunately the MSFS does not start. The start videos are shown, then the picture ‘press any key to start’ and then only the circle at the bottom right rotates. Even restarting the PC does not help. No changes have been made to the PC since yesterday.

The Task Manager shows that MSFS has started but does not open to the menu.

I have the same problem and have tried the detail slider low, medium and high. Also
the anisotropic and super sampling but the problem of blurry textures persist. Thanks
for your help and to everyone here at this forum helping.

Same issue, landscape is most often in a blurry state and there’s really no reason that it should be.

Ground textures won’t look sharp as soon as you fly a few hundred feet above it, no matter what settings/connection you have. It is a shame but it is what it is. In airliners it’s much worse and at 20k+ft it looks really bad. Hope Asobo can find a way to make textures look sharp at any height, otherwise this will be a big problem.

Thanks usamor,
But the blurring can already be seen from a distance when standing on the runway

Hey guys, does anyone have an idea about my other problem? Why doesn’t MSFS start up to the menu window? It started very quickly until yesterday.
Or should I open a new topic for it?
What do you all mean? I am new to this community and have yet to learn how it works best here. Thank you.

I have the same problem. Problem occured after last update.

Still there when you set Resolution Scaling up to 200%?

Never seen this on my rig, game runs pretty good and looks fantastic. Some areas have more satellite data than others, and steep mountains have problems with texture stretching, but that’s about all I can think of.
