ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Blurry textures- ground markings around Aircraft(bigger Aircraft) 748,777

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Everytime,once changing view with the Camera(specific angle)

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Any airport with ground airport markings
  2. Bigger plane, 777 or 748
  3. Outside view
  4. Go abut up about the aircraft
  5. Move up and down( see videos)

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? Yes, but also turned off to make sure it’s not a Developer mode issue.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12? DX12, but also changed to DX11, same issue.

[PC Only] Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version: Nvidia 4080 Super. Latest.

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?

What is your terrain LOD slider set to out of interest?

Are you also using DLSS?

Try bringing up LOD to see if it resolves it and try turning DLSS off. Obviously if that works it isn’t the fix because you’ll loose frames but at least it can be tweaked to be performant and sharp simultaneously

No, I don’t use DLSS. My LOD is set at 100. And yes, it does get a bit better when going further up. Everything beyond 180, is pretty okay, but it’s just not really expectable :frowning: It of course also depends on the airport where I am at. Some don’t have any issue, even at 100. I think it also depends on how the dev set their texture resolutions etc…

Do you also see this, at some airports when your TLOD is at 100? The worst airport for me at the moment was PANC. Default or Payware, doesn’t matter.

I have my LOD set to 400 so mine is pretty sharp. I can see a bit of degradation in quality but that’s usually he underlying satellite image used from Bing (which MSFS 2020 didnt have because of Blackshark).

If you have an RTX card, try bringing DLSS into the mix and pushing your LOD up.

So in other words it’s definitely a MSFS thing, and not really an issue with the installation, addon or such, correct ?
