Blurry ground texture

Since last AAU1 update, ground textures are blurry when on ground in cockpit view.
Same thing on 3 computers.

I have noticed a similar thing - ground texutres seem very blurry today compared to what it was before. Can’t tell if it’s the AAU1 update or anything else (such as the online weather also not functioning properly).

Hey @Crunchmeister71
Didn’t you see a fix for some people for a similar issue lately? I don’t have the problem, so unfortunately I didn’t bookmark it.
Thanks for any help!

As per another helpful user’s suggestion, I disabled Anisotropic Filtering in the sim and enabled it to 16x in the nVidia Control Panel. Fixed up my blurry ground textures and it now looks fantastic.

Updates often cause the sim to ignore my graphics card settings including Anisotropic filtering. Consequently, the sim always looks like a blurry mess after an update. I normally delete the shader cache and delete the profile in my driver that is tied to the flight sim .exe and create a new one. After applying the settings again all is well.

Nvidia GPU?

I am constantly forced into offline-mode. Which disables Photogrammetry. Check if yours is enabled Settings > Data > Bing Data World Graphics.

Yupp, same issue here with the blurriness

Not sure if this is the same issue. But am here trying to figure out why when in VR I am getting a blurry stutter halo type issue surrounding all the menu’s, and outside the cockpit. This even extends to just sitting on the main menu screen. This happened after the update which I updated to last night. prior to that, I had no issues. Tried changing DLSS/TAA and turned anisotropic filtering off, and changed the resolution sampling or whatever. Also in openXR, I turned motion reprojection off and to auto, and to enabled, and it didn’t really make a difference.

Had the same issue. The reason with me was the VPN
(virual private network) on. With no VPN I got an excellent quality of the scenery.
Bye, good luck, walter.

Yes Rog Strix RTX 3030 10GB.

Uninstall nvidia geforce experience - restart PC

Open Nvidia Control Panel > 3d settings > manage 3d settings > global settings tab
Click Restore > yes > apply
Also restore msfs profile > program settings tab

Usual culprit after an update is data settings have been changed, probably data has been turned off. Also photogrammetry if you use it.

If that doesn’t work try clearing the cache.

Last thought, empty Community Folder in case an addon is messed up by the update, although that usually crashes the sim rather than affect the visuals.

actually all the data is still on photogrammetry as well
i tried cleankng the cache with no difference still so blurry
