Blurry ground textures in MSFS 2024 - what are your experiences?

Same blurriness here in the Quest 3 on High to Ultra settings, the cockpit is fine but when you look in a bit of distance outside the window it is Blurry.

blurry textures on ground and in cockpit are back for me… worked beautiful the other day. I guess thats what we have to live with now. maybe it works, maybe it doesnt. who knows. try again. lol

It’s a lot better than a few days ago. I was getting really really poor textures, all blended and also very poor ground mesh. The ground mesh is really good now, the textures are way better than before. It’s still not to MSFS 2020 but getting there. It’s day and night compared to say 2 days ago (before the msfs 2020 server crash  )

Yes it would help a lot if people trying to show 2020 v 2024 comparison shots at least set the weather to be clear skies and used the drone so that 3/4 of the shot isn’t taken up with the plane. That would at least make the comparison semi scientific, as well a picking the same location and looking straight down to minimise any effects from atmospheric haze.

Same here. It worked fine until 2 days ago but now it’s a blurry mess again.

I use X Box and the ground is blurry at around 3000 feet and not flying fast. (On a 42" OLED TV) Also in the area I live in BC Canada there is far less detail in the geography, particularly around the shoreline in a major city. There are just too many issues with MFS 2024.

I bought the new sim yesterday and this is what it looks like. I spend 5 hours to solve this problem and nothing worked yet. I have a line with 250 mbps. maybe someone has an idea? Thx

The Clay trees is a big problem that needs to be fixed too. Nothing can be done from our side unfortunately.

but i saw a lot of videos on youtube and not everyone got this big problems. the game is for me unplayable…

If it was only implemented when on the ground it would be a real mess with a a huge stutter and pop in as you landed.
It just needs to be more precise with where it is or is not placed and better defined LOD’s

hello,

nothing changes at the moment for these blurred textures, if there is any improvement, bye bye fs2024, 80€ in the a…s :frowning:
and this pb of right wing flexibility on all airliners…pfffff

That looks like photogrammetry trees.
Large areas of photogrammetry trees should not exist in 2024, they are supposed to be replaced by 3D trees.
Ensure you have trees set to ultra,
It may just be this area needs patching.

it is everywhere. there is no place without this problem.

Not PG trees then
So some sort of rendering issue then.
They look like trees on very low LOD.
Are you zooming the camera?
How do they look from the aircraft flying low?

Depends on where you are. I fly areas that are fine and others that look like what you posted. All data is streamed from the server side. This isn’t a setting issue. I’ve seen this in the later city/world update in 2020 but not bad like this. Overall, it looks like the photogrammetry is including trees when it shouldn’t. We probably need to file a bug report to get more attention on this.

Just be warned though that having trees on ultra is one of the larger performance hitters of the sim.

Yes quite, I meant for troubleshooting

It makes no difference how I set the level of detail. the image is with the medium setting.

Maybe it’s a problem with the internet connection, which can’t actually be the case. Otherwise I can’t explain it. really sad that you pay 80 euros and get such rubbish.

Those look like photogrammetry trees - you could try toggling off photogrammetry in the Online settings if its worth the trade off for you in that area?
