Negative on that, I would never expect the Dev to be responsible for a mod (texture set) I (or anyone else) created.

I think the few liveries on flightsim.to which are still at fault actually pre-date the paint kit, even though I messaged all the authors myself to notify them of the changed dials texture.

as said by someone else here I also never expect devs to officially support 3rd party mods to official addons. thats just asking for massive hair-pulling.
i’ve noticed a lot of 3rd party modders (repaints and airport sceneries) don’t do it correctly and end up conflicting with other mods or overwriting scenery files or incorrect naming conventions, etc. The problem is a lot of them submit their addon to flightsim.to and then disappear, where the faulty addon stays around for years causing trouble.
That’s when I usually turn toward this forum and get group help to see if anyone else has had issue with the addons as well, as we can figure out the problem as a community. win-win!

Not to mention the last dev to try to “officially” support liveries did so by stealing the liveries and providing them as their own with no credit. In their words they did this in order to individually vet each livery and put their “stamp of approval” on it. I know BBS would never do that to us, but it’s a good example as to why a dev should never try to take ownership of 3rd party mods… it’s no good for anyone!
