Boeing 707 as Famous Flyer 10!

I actually like when I can learn something from the aircraft and not the other way around

Omega Air tanker operations over the Pacific, I really hope that livery is available but if not I’m sure it will be created fast by the community.

It’s clear it’s not the same type of engines on the promotionnal picture as the Pan Am B707. I wish it will also get the usal B707 engines like on the Pan Am.

I compare the promotionnal picture to all previous B707 we had in the past like this Pan Am from FSX’s convertion. It’s sure it will be 100% better than any other previous versions. I base my judgement of the expected quality when looking at what they did with the DC3. To me this DC3 is excellent and if they are aiming in the same direction, the B707 will be very good too.

The DC-3 requires the DuckWorks mod (again, community doing work for free) to make it even close to accurate/functional.

My suggestion to add more nostalgy to this upcoming B707, go take delivery of your Boeing at Everett Paine Field KPAE.

The DC3 is actually very bad. It is the Duckworks mod that makes the plane good. Adding insult to injury the community did all the work for AH yet they refuse to update it, even if they only have to apply the mod and release the updated plane.
The fine line between being incompetent and being just evil.

Its an MS owned product, AH can’t update it unless asked

I believe you have this wrong, MS can’t update unless AH produces an update.

That wasn’t the point. You said let’s not judge now and wait until release and you are doing the same. Having to compare it to a really old add-on from an out of date sim to say something is good indicates how low the bar has fallen. At least the other view is using recent work in this sim as the baseline.

Did you read the whole thread. It’s not based around wanting it to necessarily be some super high end simulation. I think most here accept that a FF or LL aircraft will not be that. The issue is that what is included should work properly. Either from day one or by the dev listening and updating. The majority view indicates that folks don’t believe they are getting this from the AH/MS combo aircraft.

My two routes I fly on all the time (I know the route so well I don’t need a flight plan due to how many times I flown those routes) Charlotte to Rochester (KROC) and JetBlues route KROC to KJFK and my new testing zone which became Hilton head island South Carolina

You are right. Same for the AN 225, it need lot of corrections but Inibuilds can’t update it if Asobo don’t require it.

Inibuild has already corrected minor bugs on their planes : I reported one on their discord for the goose, it received the fix short after, probably without any requirement from Asobo.

I asked Aeroplane Heaven on facebook yesterday about the INS in the 707 and whether or not we would get it in this aircraft. I got this reply: ‘Not straight away no. We are still coding the INS. It will be added as an upgrade whenever it is ready.’

So the upshot is, for those wanting to fly this on the 4th of July, you won’t get an authentic aircraft with a CIVA INS until ‘whenever it is ready’

Carenado can, also the Latecoere 631 was updated.

I think if a dev wants to update a FF or LL MS will not deny.

Mark my words: This will never happen.

And we won’t know that until it’s released, right?

Well you can just wait to buy it when and if it is added. If they do add it and it’s okay, then great. If they don’t add it well then you didn’t spend $10-15 so it works out.

Not exactly, if you make a promise and people buy the product and you don’t deliver on it, that is a problem. I’m not saying that is what is going to happen, but we can’t just accept developers making promises they won’t keep for whatever reason.
