Boeing 707 as Famous Flyer 10!

It was you who implied AH developers have disabilities preventing them from delivering a quality work product, not me. You should be able to back such assertions up with facts, otherwise you are just making things up from thin air, which does not contribute meaningfully to this thread and could even be interpreted as slander.

Gentlemen this is getting a bit silly. Let’s cool our (quad) jets and see what comes of things in 3 weeks

I said that many developers do have disabilities. We shouldn’t hold that disability against the developer. I didn’t say AH name. You said that.

A reminder for everyone to keep this topic on track. Focus only on discussing the 707, and do not engage in arguments with other users.

I think it’s a great plane choice. Don’t know why so many complaints.

A great choice for an aircraft does not equal a great choice of developer for that aircraft. AH’s past products speak for themselves. As much as I have pined for old Boeings in the sim, I will be hesitating on this one until I see early reviews.

Issue is the developer choice. Nobody has an issue with the plane choice.

Then you didn’t read the thread. The complaints have been thoughtfully explained by a few of us.

Include Otto in the Famous Flyer.

There’s no need to fight, if some people are willing to defend CaptainSim certainly there will be some that will stand for AH, for whatever reason. I respect their position.

We can only wait to see what kind of mess is delivered this time by AH, then start finding Nixon’s address to send him chocolates and other bribes to make him do the community mod.

Visually looks just fine. It’ll fly. Good enough for now. Better than nothing imo. To each their preferences.

Likewise squared. My only real viable hope is that they outsource the flight model to someone who has a clue, and FT-Sim will probably make a better sound pack within days of release. Otherwise, I just hope the visual model is correct. AH generally does decent looking work, but there have been a lot of inaccuracies, particularly in the 307. Just really underwhelming and several errors. The mod is solid btw, and improves her a lot. Plus FT-Sim sound pack. Which should seem like a broken record. But clearly not study level 707 regardless, and highly doubtful there will be a Delco Carousel IV INS system in it. They will probably put a retrofit 530 in it’s place. Blech.

I’ve heard the fully modded P-51 is ā€œokayā€ but I can’t see paying that kind of money for it if I have to mod it to make it decent, not when all the FlyingIron stuff is in the sim. So ya, was pretty disappointed. And the 307 is a terrible example for them … it’s a plane they should have nailed. The mod makes it better. But it’s not actually modelled correctly in the pit.

Very well said. I think the same as you. At least the plane looks good inside and outside, that’s what I’m looking for. I’m an experienced flyer but not a study level’s one. I don’t like taking one hour before taking off. To date all famous flyer I bought are perfect for me. I love the AN 225, LatĆ©coĆØre 631 and I just flew the DC3 prior to write this. I love this DC3, very nice looking, beautiful interior. It’s what I’m looking for from AH with the B707.

As an exemple, the Blue Bird B757 with 500+ breakers… I really don’t need that. I’ll buy it because I love it, but it’s too much detailed for my taste.

Same for me

The LatĆ©coerĆ© is in another league compared to any AH product I have seen, not merely visually but in just about every aspect, it’s a fantastic aircraft for its price. You could argue that visual quality is subjective, but none of the AH products are particularly visually pleasing to me. They all have this plastic looking sheen to it that rubs me off and the texture quality in places are subpar compared to comparable offerings from other developers (this is just my subjective opinion, I’m just surprised at the amount of people singing their praises).

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt on the 707 ofc, I would love for it to be great. It’s going to be interesting to see it in action!

That plane is one of the best pieces of work delivered to the sim thanks to Bluemesh, a truly piece of art and the dev stood behind the product for months reading every feedback from the users and fixing the small issues. That’s how things should be done.

All I need is a TGA livery and I can recreate the flight from Airport.

I’m just looking forward for a classic livery pack to do some flying with classic airlines

The DC3 is from AH, you don’t like it ? I’m flyingit actually and I love it. The sound is better than the DC6, nice retro cockpit, nice cabin, nice textures. Nothing to complain about it. If the B707 is similar to that, I’ll be so pleased.
