Boeing 737 Passenger flight no intercom?

I finally bought a 737 in career mode and the first flight went great (apart from a bit of a bumpy landing, but nothing too serious). I got an A rank which I’m happy with and the passenger satisfaction was good (75%), I had to inform the passengers and approve in-flight service in the intercom tab of the communications window.

However, SINCE then the intercom is just blank. I don’t get any mission steps to do any announcements and I can’t approve in-flight service when the purser asks for it, and my passenger satisfaction has gone completely down the drain.

Am I missing something when setting up the plane before the flight or is this a bug? And if it’s the latter, is there a way to fix this?

There were some versions of the game where the intercom tab would have these interactions that could be selected. This is no longer the case. The only way to activate them is with the quick-reply command.
