I came across this. But I can’t find where to purchase this.

Just to update everyone here, this is an FTSim+ soundpack which is available at MSFS B748Genx - FTSiM+. Previously, I wasn’t able to join FTSim+ on Patreon, and I had contacted Patreon. They looked into the issue. They told me yesterday that FTSim accept new members now, and I was able to join.

Hi, Is there any Soundpack for the Asobo 747-8 for MSFS 2024? Or are there any ways to get the FTSim+ 747-8 Genx Soundpack to work with MSFS 2024?

Sadly nothing that I’m aware of. I’ve tried a lot to get it to work, to no avail. I’ve copied the MSFS 2020 747-8 into MSFS 2024. This makes the sound pack work, but the cockpit textures are flawed. I’ve also installed the Salty 747-8 into MSFS 2024, where again, the sound pack works, but the cockpit textures are flawed as well. As the MSFS 2024 747-8 is encrypted, FTSim+ has not been able to adapt its sound pack. It’s a shame! The 747-8 is unflyable with the default sound pack. Can Asobo please provide unencrypted airplanes!

Yeah, that’s sad. I’m curious what changes the SU3 update makes to the 747-8 and how the improvements/fixes look.

Hey all, I got the FTSim+ soundpack to work with the B747-8 in MSFS 2024, and the cockpit looks fine now.

What you need to do is (this worked for me):

  1. Copy the “Asobo-aircraft-b7478i” folder from the MSFS 2020 “Official” folder into the MSFS 2024 community folder

  2. Do the same with the “workingtitle-instruments-b747-8i” which can also be found in the MSFS 2020 “Official” folder.

  3. If you haven’t yet installed the FTSim+ soundpack, go to their Patreon and install it as per the instructions in the downloaded pack.

Noting I’m currently using Sim Update 4 Beta in MSFS 2024 - not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Definitely! It does not reflect all sounds, such as cockpit button sounds, but to me the engine sounds are what matters.
