Brief description of the issue:
This has been happening since prior to SU8, was hoping SU8 would have fixed it, but it does not. What happens is that when I take off with a 787, from any runway, once I set the autopilot to ON (in heading mode or in NAV mode) the aircraft will enter an accelerating left turn. It does not follow the FMS NAV or the heading bug, it will just turn left. The autopilot will follow the climb and autothrottle commands, but its LNAV does not function even though LNAV is selected.
If you kick off the autopilot, and just try and fly straight and level with hands off the controls, it will still turn left. I’ve replicated this before and after SU8. I’ve tried changing the deadzone on my yoke to see if that was maybe the issue, but the aircraft still turns left.
I’ve tried other aircraft to see if they have the same issue (and also to see if it is an equipment issue on my end) and no other aircraft (A320, CRJ, SR22, Citation CJ4, Citation Longitude, C172) have the issue of turning left with or without the autopilot on.
