ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  • Description of the issue: When skipping the pre-flight check in the Robin DR400/100 Cadet, the airspeed cover is not automatically removed. It remains visually attached to the aircraft even during flight, completely preventing the airspeed indicator from functioning.
  • Aircraft: Robin DR400/100 Cadet

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

  • How often does this occur: Every time I skip the pre-flight check on this aircraft.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Select the Robin DR400/100 Cadet aircraft.
  2. Start a flight.
  3. Choose the “Ready to Fly” option to skip the pre-flight check.
  4. Observe the airspeed cover still attached to the aircraft.

YOUR SETTINGS

  • Peripherals: [x52]
  • Developer Mode: No
  • [If on PC] DX11 or DX12: [12]
  • [If on PC] GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Water Cooled Edition
  • [If on PC] Other PC specs:

Are you starting on a ramp or directly on the runway ?
If it is on a ramp I think you need to manually remove it, you cannot skip the pre-flight.

Here’s what happens:

  • I start the mission at a parking spot, not on the runway.
  • The mission begins with a cutscene of my character walking to the plane.
  • Once at the plane, I’m prompted to do the pre-flight check, which involves removing the pins (by pressing ‘E’ walking up to them).
  • However, I choose to skip this entire sequence by pressing ALT+N.
  • Even though I skip the pre-flight, the game places me on the runway, ready for takeoff.
  • But here’s the problem: the airspeed cover (the little red pin) remains on the aircraft.

It’s important to note that I’ve skipped the pre-flight cutscene where you manually remove the pins. And this bug only seems to happen with the Robin DR400/100 Cadet. With every other plane I’ve flown, skipping the pre-flight works fine, and all covers are removed automatically.

It seems like skipping the pre-flight sequence for this specific plane causes the airspeed cover to stay in place, even though I’m placed on the runway.
