Bouncing on landing

Her you can find the little bump at 16R which I noticed: https://youtu.be/TR8oQ-ocWzU

( because of the sunrise, it is the whole start-round-land video  )

I don’t always get this texture, but when I do, what you are seeing are crevasses (wide cracks) in the runway. Perhaps there are earthquakes built into the simulation?

hmmm… possible try to reset the local cache… in another thread a user had similar issue with strange textures.

but this airport is realy a bit… bumpy ( if this word exists  )… noticeable also while TAXI .

I’ve had that many tines since Sept.
Turn off the Data > Photogrammry thing.

The earthquake lines will be gone.

Here is a video of the bouncing/flipping that I am talking about. After reading previous posts I see that the runway has issues. I originally thought it was bouncing. That was what I call it on my first post. When I hit a bad spot in the runway I take control and the aircraft bounces. That is what I meant. If I don’t take control it will just flip and crash. You can see at the end I swerved to avoid a problem area but it didn’t work.

Sorry about the video quality I had to scale it down to make it small enough to upload.

The video above was landing at KBFI by the way

Except that once one does that, we might as well be flying any other sim. Photogrammetry is the only reason most of us are still here struggling through all of the issues we’ve been dealing with. If photogrammetry doesn’t work, then there is no Microsoft Flight Simulator…

I share the same boredom here.

Someone replied me last month that connection bandwidth of my router would be the root cause. While not every user could reproduce the problem on that Runway.

Yes, that guy said ā€œreset his routerā€ then turn back on Photogrammetry thing, solved.

My router is fully customized so I didn’t reset it, but I bet somehow photogrammetry server will got improved in the future, and bandwidth may be better.

not good to see, bit low qualitiy, but first bounce seems because of bit to fast down, but others ( in special at 0:16 ) seems not your fault, more the texture-issue - exact at thes ā€œtexture gapā€ which we can see you jumped.

What I would check, if I have bit time: how it looks in offline mode ( have anyone tried it already ? ). The qualitity of runways within our 100gig Offline-Content should not contain such texture-issues, else the download might be completly useless.

You are right at the beginning of the video I pulled up to avoid the gap that is the reason for the jerky move at the start.

I didn’t try it off line, but I did disable the rolling cache (better performance) and I just had a successful landing on KSEA 16R without any crevasses. One landing is too soon to draw conclusions, but it would be good for others experiencing this problem to try disabling the rolling cache to see if doing that is a viable workaround.

okay… delete the off-offline cache is sometimes mentioned in forum. Seems really helpful…

I seem to have this tendency of a320 not pitching up to flare with gentle inputs and when I pull the stick any more than that, it is either a float or float followed by bounce.

Either of these result in a very hard touch down at rates, if were to be done in my Q787 in FSX would result in a crash/landing gear breaking.

Yap i noticed with A320, seems it lose the control and land so fast i need to push joystick and in takeoff he goes to left and right… hope they fix it in next update
