Standard behavior is this. If MSFS binding is incorrect, you go to your device in Control, top ribbon, choose function ‘by name’ box, type ‘Left brake’ in box, at your right you see the present binding in the two (2) columns with binding boxes.
Since the present seems to be wrong, you click that box to overwrite that one, you move your peddle (ehh, there’s an ‘assign’ chk first, forgot), MSFS should sense your device movement, in this case an axis, the name of the axis appears, you click ‘validate’ so MSFS can check for double bindings, not the case, you return one level back and the new axis should be noted in the box, F11 to confirm and save changes, voila, Esc, Esc.
