ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
I am noticing more and more as I use 2024 that the aircraft brakes are basically seemm to be bindimg a lot fo the time ? I have a button my Stick configured to apply the brakes, and after applying them, say after landing, when you try to taxi away again it takes a large amount of throttle to get the aircraft moving, and even then, as soon as you pull the power off it stops far too quickly, as if the brakes are still partially on.

This is happening on a large number of the aircraft in the sim.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
YES

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
ALL THE TIME, no reliefs at all.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Move the aircraft - TAXIING
    2.Apply the brakes normally.
  2. Apply throttle to taxi further
  3. Watch the brakes hold the aircraft back to a greater or lesser extent. Clicking tje brake button once or twice sometimes seems to release them , but not always.

I had exactly the same problem, but I was using Rudder pedals.

I eventually found the solution was to reset the controller in Windows, as follows:

SetUp USB Controllers>choose the relevant hardware device>Properties>Settings>Reset to Default

I hope this helps you.

Thanx for your tip, but I cannot work out where I ned to go in Windows to follow it ?

Is it in Settings, or where ?
I checked out Devices, used windows search etc, no joy, so please can you give me detailed instructions where to go to perform this “reset” ?

Many thanks

In Windows search, type SetUp USB Game Controllers and press enter

Your joystick should appear (hopefully), highlight it and select Properties.

Select the Settings tab, then Reset to Default and enter.

Good luck.

THank you so much, I have followed your instructions (the Control modulle was not intaled on this PC !, and the brakes on several a/c I have tested are working very much better, without that really annoying BINDING after any brake application.

I am very grateful to you for your help !
