I have the same problem with all iniBuilds Airbus aircraft. A320 slowly starts rolling after I use full throttle, but the other Airbuses don’t.
It does not happen with other planes (Boeings, GA aircraft)
Hello everyone,
I have the same problem. When I start the simulator, I test the brakes and they function correctly. The pushback with GSX also works correctly. However, after the pushback, when I release the parking brakes, the brake pressure remains active and the airplane is stuck.
I verified that in TOGA mode, the brake temperature is stable at 20°C. I believe that during normal operation, the brake temperature should be higher when in TOGA mode with the brakes active.
I hope this information helps to solve the problem.
If you start the Fenix first on a Runway, than a second start on a gate the brake issues are gone… So the workaround is to start fenix twice for me.
I have this same issue and I do not have rudder pedals. I spawn in, setup my plane, remove chocks and everything and after GSX pushback i cannot move at all, i literally need to enable skew mode in the air and then I can continue my flight.. please i need a solution.
-All Ini planes
-Fenix planes it depends, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
you have to disable gsx after pushback. it’s a known bug
Not just GSX, even default it still does it
I found a solution that works for me. Go to settings, Controls, Keyboard, Brakes and set Left Brake Axis to Num 7 and Right Brake Axis to Num 9. When you are ready to taxi, press one (or the other) of those and it seems to release the brakes. It still takes a lot of power to get the Airbus rolling.
Make sure those two slots are blank on the Joystick.
I’m not sure if this is the same problem, but my plane was not moving on the runway. I “unlocked” the brakes by running through the brake axis, but then it took a lot of power to move the plane. I realized the sim was still applying the brakes. After fiddling with it for a bit, I realized that the “neutral” position in my brake axis was being interpreted as “brakes 50% applied” by the sim. So I changed the neutral position in the “tweak action curve” setting for my left and right brakes and now the brakes don’t stick anymore.
I am having the same issue also on the FENIX a320 and the FBWa320. the brakes will just not release. I have tried unbinding all the brake but that did not work. I have tried the other suggestion here about left or brake break still not working. I have removed GSX to see if that was the issue and still the same.
This 100% worked and I am so sorry that the Flight Simulator Product Manager is not in here saying sorry to everyone about their Rudder Curves.
I have the same issue. Unbinding all the brake options didnt work for me either. Sometimes the tug can move me, sometimes the tug fails as well. In de Fenix only full throttle seems to work with all the “realism” that goes with it
It is 100% the rudder curves, just them so the value on the left curve is negative one (-1).
Let us know it worked! This issue made me alt+f4 in rage several times.
I just found out that it varies by hardware. When I did -1 I was using an axis on my stick. I just plugged in rudder pedals and had to use +1 to get it to work. So the fix is still good, but it may require different neutral points for different hardware. Kind of an unfortunate bug, if that’s what it is.
I imagine if you need +1 it’s because you have the “invert axis” option set on the key binding assignment. This would reverse the meaning of the curves, but better to flip the option rather than set the curve up backwards.
Did anyone test this simulator before release? It’s as if we all purchased an alpha version of the final product. I am so disappointed in Microsoft. The launch was a disaster and with each new patch, things that were working fine now seem to have bugs: the A330 (was working fine until the latest patch); the lighting at some 3rd party airports (Fly Tampa - CYYZ, was working fine up to the latest patch); airports with huge depressions in the infield (Dublin airport); can’t “end flight” without the simulator hanging (requires a CTRL ALT DEL); and much, much more. What happened to quality? This is totally unacceptable.
Had the same bug on A330.
alright, i had it figured out then i got a new sidestick and it all went to hell again. i think this depends on the peripherals but i think this should work across the board.
go into controls,
search “brake” and unbind all brakes everywhere, specifically “left brake” “right brake” and “brakes”,
then on your sidestick (I used thrustmaster and winwing ursa minor), bind “left brake” and “right brake” to your throttle slider (on the sidestick),
then “tweak action curve” netural to -1 for both left and right brake as the other person had suggested.
this only works if you don’'t need that slider for throttle (i have a airbus quandrant so i don’t need the slider). hope this helps and Asobo, you can eat warm garbage for not at all addressing this issue
I saw the same issue in the inibuilds a320, I started cold and dark went thru half a flight then hit restart flight. Post-restart I went thru the setup but ran into this issue.
I wanted to point out that there is another work-around if you are desperate. Its to utilize the auto-start (CTRL+E). I’ll need to test this the next time I run into the issue.
I always ran into this issue in the few times I used the FBW A320.
Thank you! “Left brake axis” and “right brake axis” programmed to joystick slider, and works like a charm!
