I completely forgot how gorgeous the clouds and the lighting looked. It was like experiencing them for the first time again! I spent several hours playing around with the settings and taking these screenshots.
However I also found some other major issues along the way which were new to me and I’m not sure if it was due to the latest patch. The terrain in the mountains is morphing in a very obvious way, I’m getting weird pixelated reflections in the water (even though I have Reflections set to Off), and the coastline glitch from the previous patch remains.
So I’m not sure if I will fully return to the simulator yet. The gorgeous clouds will definitely bring me back a few times, but the new bugs are too major for me to just fly around and enjoy the scenery. Still, I’m very happy the clouds were fixed for all who were affected, and I’m confident the other issues will be solved with the next patch.
