That’s at least something.
Yeah, if they were not considering a fix they would probably just slap a “Not Planned” status next to the issue. It will probably remain low-priority, but at least they’re not writing us off completely.
The correct image is now up on the website by the way.
A snap to the faces of those issue deniers!
They have responded on Twitter regarding this issue.
They say they are working on it, which is a step closer to the solution compared to the “under investigation” status on the Feedback Snapshot. Hopefully it won’t take too long.
That’s encouraging.
And you thought “updates” meant improvements. As much as I love MSFS2020, Asobo are perhaps proving not to be the skilled
competent partner Microsoft were looking for. Time will tell.
Unfortunately the status of this request did not change in this week’s Feedback Snapshot, they are still investigating the issue. As such, I believe it would be best not to expect a fix with the December update.
I am about ready to give up and chalk it up to an very unwise purchase on my part. They are willing to fix things like people griping about the “click any button to start” message or “this bridge does not look right” more so than folks unable to actually use the sim. Last I looked they have still not edited their minimum requirements. Say what you will but I have never experienced anything like this from a developer.
I’m still gonna hold out for the time being, we are entering the holiday season so the lackluster response time is to be expected. I’d wait and see until after new years…
How do I vote on this - sorry for the question but I can’t see how.
Right next to the thread’s title at the top you will see the number “371”, the amount of votes. Right below it is the blue “Vote” button.
Thankyou for that!
As a simmer for more than a decade I preordered this sim for $120 and it’s leaving me behind as I have an old generation of graphics card which still meets its published recommended specifications.
This is a huge disappointment.
I understand bf109hyin, been simming myself since the 80s and sublogic days. I bought the premium edition and some addons. There is still some hope of resolution but I have also prepared myself for shelving it until sometime in the future when I can upgrade. That is not feasible for quite awhile, especially since my system supports everything else I need or want to run. If I had known I would have put the $200 bucks toward a card and delayed the sim until the future. Since I met published specs I dove in head first. Hopefully there is a fix for us in the near future - I miss MSFS2020 after getting a taste for a few weeks. Good luck
Voted! Its been a long time, come on MSFS/ASOBO please fix this! Sooo many people with this issue and it’s getting very VERY old to constantly fly in “clear skies.” Shoot I can only make it dawn, dusk, or nighttime to spice things up lol PLEASE LISTEN to your community! We made y’all sooo much money so LET US PLAY the game with ALL of its included features!
If they are planning to fix the issue and stick to the current system requirements, then I agree that it’s just taking too long, and it’s rather shameful that this thread was ignored from the Feedback Snapshot for several weeks and that the issue is still not acknowledged in the Known Issues list. There are many people buying the game thinking their hardware is compatible, and then they have to find out through the community why their clouds are flashing.
At this point I’d rather if they told us it’s not going to be fixed, along with a valid reason why (preparations for DirectX 12 for example), and if they updated the system requirements. It’s getting tiring checking patch after patch for a fix, and there’s no point fixing it after everyone who is affected has either upgraded or abandoned the game. Being told to fly without clouds is getting old.
I left a negative review on Steam to warn people about this, and every day I’m getting new comments of people telling me to buy a new PC and siding with Asobo.
Unfortunately this was only to be expected, as we got similar responses when trying to ask about this matter in the last Developer Q&A. This is why I’ve given up trying to inform the general public about this issue. They just do not care that systems which meet the published system requirements are not getting the promised experience anymore, and they think that upgrading hardware with a pandemic going on is easy. Many PC gamers have this elitist attitude towards low-end hardware and consoles, and I imagine Steam has got to be one of the worst places when it comes to this.
Trying to get people to wake up and see what is going on is a lost cause at this point. We can only hope Asobo will listen to our complaints and do something about it.
Well, it’s going to be fixed on Tuesday. Could’ve held off on that review lol
