I’m not sure what you were expecting. Just because 3D imagery exists, it doesn’t automatically mean it will be included in a World Update. Technology hasn’t progressed that far to be able to include all that automatically. It still has to be done by hand. AND more importantly there’s copyright to consider. I’m sure there never will be GoogleMaps content included directly by MS or Asobo.
It’s simply not realistic to expect everything to be perfect. At least 95% of all buildings in the UK are still automatically generated. And this most likely won’t change in the near future. However, I’m sure both satellite imagery and the autogen algorithms will improve and stuff like cooling towers, churches, chathedrals etc will be regonised some day. Some castles already are!
Nevertheless there will always be something missing, or something wrong. I have never come across anything really ludicrous so far, which is a good sign that the auto gen is really working well.
If you’re looking for something specific, there are literally hundreds of mods out there already which convert Google 3D to MSFS or add hand-made objects. So if you’re missing something vital check here:
