[BUG LOGGED] Airbus A320 neo lacking climb performance after update

Doesn’t the A32NX suffer as well from this? I believe the flight model is the same, the FBW team only tweaked the fly-by-wire to correct for the faulty flight model?

No, the A32NX has never suffered from this. Neither the flight model nor the engine model are the same as the default airplane. And even those are being completely revamped at this time.

Ok thanks, the A32NX does have the same dynamics as the default A320, CP in front of CG for most of the flight envelope, up-force on the tail, CP moving backwards with increasing AOA etc. I therefore assumed it was the same flight model…

I fully appreciate what you guys are doing with the 320NX mod and someday I will download it.

But, for me, I kind of like the simplicity of the default plane. I don’t need every button to work, I don’t need a 100% accurate FMC that takes 20 minutes to configure. That’s all great and for the people who want that, it’s great. I appreciate that level of complexity sometimes but, for me, I also just want to load up on the runway, set my initial altitude on the AP (and a few other settings) and take off. If I can get a good enough working state out of changing 2 numbers in the engine config file, that works for me and is simple enough for any moderate computer user to do.

One day I’ll install the NX mod or I’ll wait for the aerosoft planes. Until then, just a bit more power and an adequate fuel burn is all I need right now.

Then what does it matter what you change those numbers to? Just save time flying by tweaking it to go supersonic. Why should reality limit you?

There’s a difference between how complex a plane should be to enjoy it and what performance it has. I don’t need the complexity to enjoy the aircraft, but I still appreciate having semi-realistic performance. I also don’t use unlimited fuel, either.

Also, can one start the NX in-flight so you can join your friends or a twitch streamer in a fly along midflight?

It’s all gives and takes.

Right, this is what I am getting at. You have no interest in flying an A320. You just want the “GTA V” version that you can jump in with no knowledge.

There is nothing wrong without that. You are certainly within your rights.

There was a time I had half and hour to program a 1 hour flight. that time is in the past for me. I don’t “choose not to educate myself”, I just don’t have the time to do all the ■■■■ calculations anymore. I loved the A320s aerosoft made for FSX. But I don’t have that time anymore. I know perfectly well how to program the FMC, it’s not actually that hard once you learn the flow, it just takes a lot of time that I don’t feel like sitting there typing in a keyboard when I could be flying or waiting 20 minutes for the IRS to align.

and ya know what? I don’t have to justify how I want to fly a plane to you, and you have no right to tell anyone how to enjoy the game. so go back to typing and calculating and all that while sitting on the ground and let those of us who want to fly, fly.

It’s like you didn’t even read or try to comprehend what he said. Take your sarcastic attitude somewhere else. It isn’t needed. Everyone doesn’t want a study level plane. Some of us want to hop in, set what we need to set, and fly. There is nothing wrong with a semi-realistic approach to this game. The scale doesn’t have to extremely tip one way or the other. Let people do what they want with what they paid money for.

@Deadeye3131772 thank you for the numbers you have put here. I’ve been able to enjoy the A320 again ever since. The elitist attitude of some members here is annoying as heck.

So about flying the Fbw. I need that, Either Fly by wire optimize their aircraft, their mod, Or Asobo further optimize the simulator ,to stop stuttering, because stutters are many with fbw, they are terrible. it’s acceptable if the Fbw was the same as the default. In question the stutters would be great, but that’s not how it happens. Unfortunately.

Is someone having this problem too? For some reason the default a320 climb at 400 ft/m all the time. Not using live weather

When at very high altitudes (like here) or literally always? Did you climb up there over 89 minutes? (89 * 400 = 35600 ft)

I have a problem that all my multi engine aircraft only work on one engine, the other sits on idle. Even though the throttle levers move correctly. Maybe that’s your problem?

It takes so long to climb, below FL200 it climb at 1900ft/m but crossing FL200 it climbs at 400-900ft/m

I have the same. Anyone have an idea?

Can you post a screenshot of all displays (PFD, FCU, MFD).

The OP operated the aircraft at its performance limits (altitude and speed) and therefore the behavior of the plane is as expected in real life.

Right now is climbing at 400ft/m

Most likely it’s the high temperature at the high levels. Since the last update, the ISA temperature increases as you climb. And this greatly worsens the aircraft’s performance. This is a bug that needs to be fixed.
I have this same problem on CJ4. Then when I disable real weather, everything goes back to normal

And I’m currently trying to climb to 38000 in the A320 passing 22000

TAT +38
SAT +13
ISA +43

Fuel prediction says I will run out of fuel and currently climbing like a 172 at 500FPM

Just turned off Live weather and temps are back to normal and I’m climbing like a rocket, yep its broken.

Im not using live weather
