For me i found solution for stutters at airports after last msf update:
(The question is open whether the āculpritsā - the players with the custom liveries - are also affected, or only those without those liveries installed).
No, the one who uses the custom livery is not having stutters (assuming that the other players use liveries that the culprit has in their community folder).
But it can happen that more than one custom liveries are in play, and they causing stutter for each other ![]()
We had today during a group flight the same issue, but it was not the Manipulators for me, it was the GPU that showed downward spikes every 1-2 seconds with 130-160m while the rest of the time being around 20ms.
It started when we gathered at an airport on the way, once I landed (and probably approached the other player with the unknown livery).
For me the stutters stopped once I left the flight to main menu and respawned at the same airport with the same people.
Others reported that their stutters disappeared once they moved to the runway and latest when they took off.
Since I was flying the same aircraft (G58) that was announced to be favorable for the group flight, the probability of me flying the same aircraft but not having someone elseās custom livery was quite high.
So this bug is definitely annoying and should be fixed asap.
Only for MP because I always have AI switched off as itās so irritating (like stock ATC). I was smooth throughout - I saw a couple of A20Ns off in the distance but never had close traffic. Itās promising and will leave generic set on. Acid test will be tomorrow night in our group session - should be 20+ planes in a gaggle.
So I just spawned at LFPG on route to Basel and have all my settings back to normal, including multiplayer ON and had zero stutters this time around. So it has to be something with other usersā having an incompatible livery/mod/aircraft or something weird as noted above.
Really hope Asobo can fix this once and for all⦠and to me, having to switch certain functionality OFF to make the sim flyable is just not an appropriate solution.
So far itās good for me leaving multi-player on but setting the flag in traffic to use generic models in multiplayer. Iām assuming that just stops my plane interrogating the other playerās livery and I just āseeā them with an inbuilt livery. I can live with this till we get a fix so long as itās soon
tried this, no difference
Thank you for this. Just turned the multiplayer off under general ā data and the stutters stopped. This is what the built in FPS counter showed during the FPS dips:
In Flight too and had this issue. flew the same flight with only 6-7 ppl and no issues
I had the same issue of extreme stuttering when starting a flight. Latest Nvidia-Driver 466.11 is installed dted 04/14 only. But the real culprit was the latest Windows Update KB5001330⦠there seems to be some problems with V-Sync or incompatibility with the latest WinUpdate. Uninstalling KB5001330 helpedā¦no more stuttering⦠Cheers
Yeah I read that article this morning too. Went to uninstall it, but its so far down the list now it wouldnt let me uninstall it. I gotta get out of this insider program and re-install the āreleaseā version.
Couple of months ago they sent us a release that broke alot of peoples ethernet. We all reported it to MS, and you know they actually released it to the public with that still in it, and it did the very same thing. Kinda sounds familiar huh?
Also experiencing this.
Canāt set a group flight, because the servers will not show my buddy as online even though they are (and on the same server) for too long. If we manage to get into a group, itāll only be for a few seconds untill āyou have left the groupā shows.
āAll playersā mode will introduce 1 second interval stutter.
Spawned to somewhere remotely with a buddy, only two of us there. Once he spawned too, my framedrops happened. When he would return to the menu, my game was smooth.
This is with the generic aircraft setting.
Literally unplayable.
edit: Im having issues in the Robin DR400, but an Xcub seems fine performing slightly better
I experienced this bug with the latest version of FBW A320 and the Live Traffic. As soon as I disabled Live Traffic everything runs smoothly again.
There is a new update in the Microsoft Store, updating the game to 1.15.8 - but there is no info about it.
After updating to 1.15.8 still stuttering in multiplayer mode. Without multiplayer everything runs smoothly. I believe in the āliveryā theory.
If you switch to show default aircraft and it works = livery theory
If you switch off multiplayer and it works ⦠I think that one might be a different theoryā¦
This is all I see: https://i.gyazo.com/ae8a253a6c81a141b584778a30016169.mp4
- Generic aircraft models both AI and Multiplayer turned ON (off is the same)
- West Europe Server
Also Im a little confused about some things being stated in this topic.
Generic Plane Model settings is about swapping out the models right? (probably also the livery).
I mean, the description reads as follows āā¦if multiplayer aircrafts will only use generic and optimized aircraft modelsā¦ā
Not sure what the setting Traffic Variety changes, model variety and/or livery variety.
I have no clue whats going on, but it seems to me that these settings applies to aicrafts that you own.
And all the invisible aircrafts and blinking nametags might be for aircrafts you do not own?
*edit: scratch that last part. The person with the blinking nametag and invisible aircrafts in picture I linked uses a A32NX (that I own, tho who knows if its stable version or experimental) with a custom livery (that I do NOT own). So who knows at this point.
Anyhow, seems to be a complete mess at the moment.
*edit 2: Not sure if it was because that person with the blinking nametag(and invisible aicraft) had left, but I changed my A32NX from stable version to the standalone developer/experimental version - and after that I was able to see more multiplayer aircrafts - even though most of them was swapped out for low quality models and/or generic default aircraft replacements. (even with āuse generic plane modelsā off in the settings). At least increasing your Variety setting to high gives you some variation of the liveries they use.
Would be great if we could get some clarification (and a fix/rework) on the model and livery swapping this game does in multiplayer. The crickets and tumbleweeds is a bit worrying.
Make sure you have Hardware - Accelerated GPU Scheduling turned on⦠mine went from a stutterfest to butter smooth when I activated this setting.
Im running all the latest drivers and am super happy with the simulators performance.
I think of the multiplayer bug this way.
If you fly Aircraft X with your favorite addon livery, you will inflict a constant recurring stutter upon every other Aircraft X pilot within visual range who doesnāt happen to own that same livery. Those pilots will also see your user tag blink on and off.
After several multiplayer experiences since WU4 I havenāt seen any evidence to contradict this theory.
@tamalien thanks for also testing. Do you know if asobo are aware of this issue?
