Crashed …
There are really high power pylons on the approach to runway 22 at Geneva LSGG
I unexpectedly crashed flying a night ILS approach. Went back in daytime and saw them.
Fly an approach into Geneva and be surprised!
Check the link above. This little addon removes the power lines and improves the airport.
This is still a significant problem. I’ve just had an ILS approach ruined because of this - very strange.
Did you get the file mentioned above by BreakingWolf696.
It fixes the problem.
There is also a freeware version of LSGG available as an add-od, it may not have this issue.
Just flown into it flying from EGHI
shall make a zendesk report
When I was landing on LSGG airport (standard scenery), rwy 22, I had a colision with energy towers thar are immediately before the runway. Please delete these towers.
These Towers are really there but much smaller. there is a Mod lowering them to a more realistic height
Ok Thanks! but where can we find this?
flightsim.to, search for Geneva LSGG Pylon Remover
Thank you! Perfect!
ILS approach into LSGG/GVA runway 22 collides with pylons on the A320neo.
- Choose A320neo as the aircraft.
- Fly into LSGG runway 22 using ILS.
- It will crash into the pylons if you stay on the glideslope.
it’s a known problem, not necessary to reproduce. In reality there are pylons but small ones. there is a Mod to correct them on Flightsim.to
So that others don’t have to search…
Hi,
Did you have some obstacles on a final path ?
I crash on obstacle on final in LSGG ILS 22.
This not the first time a see obstacle near rw.
Is it a knowing issue ?
Thanks
arrgh, got hit twice while trying to land RWY22. I believe they are the power line support.
Too high in sim, sent my A320N shooting upwards on hitting it.
A problem that is still an issue and caught me out today, a quick flight after work, coming down the glide slope on an ils 22 approach, clipped the middle pylon with the tail, ruined the flight.
First of all, you are being very rude here. Second, those pylons have been there (in the sim) since day 1. Third, and most importantly, they are generated, based on satellite data (for trees and buildings) and other public data (open street maps etc.).
There is no way that all 30‘000+ (UPDATE/CORRECTION: there are 37’000 airports, strips and aerodromes in the sim: Flight Simulator airport list: every Standard, Deluxe and Premium hand-crafted airport in Flight Simulator listed | Eurogamer.net ) airports and aerodromes can be manually checked with the given resources of a game studio (in fact, they did „manually clean up“ a lot of the airports in the game!)
Maybe a member of the community could mod the Pylons lower, annoying to have to rely on the community to fix obvious issues but alas that’s the way it is!
