It doesn’t works for me …
THIS IS THE SOLUTION FOR MOST OF YOU
NOTE: This will only wok for degraded sound quality or no engine sounds for your bluetooth devices or plugged in devices.
FOLLOW the instructions in the video i am linking and make sure you follow these steps when doing so and ofcourse thank me later!!
Guys I just found a simple solution, After you disable the handsfree telephony, you just have to :-
-
Disconnect your earbuds/headphones from your Laptop/PC
-
After disconnecting, turn off your earbuds/headphones and then reconnect it to your PC. Handsfree telephony will not get enabled automatically this time.
Important point to be noted :-
DO NOT TURN OFF THE BLUETOOTH OF YOUR PC/LAPTOP, ONLY TURN OFF YOUR EARBUD’S/HEADPHONE’S BLUETOOTH. If you will turn off your pc’s bluetooth, then after reconnecting your bluetooth device, headsfree telephony will get enabled automatically again
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• I have only ambient and player audio on my Xbox series x
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• tried changing settings ,restarting game / console and still no audio through TV

I have the same issue of the pictures above, some greyed bars with 1/100 setting.
I thought the streaming fix would fix this. Unfortunately I still have the problem
… and the sound it gone again. There is sound from the environment, but no engine sound. Sigh …
All the proposed fixes didn’t work for me, not for more than one flight. I didn’t try a reinstall for obvious reasons. I’ve found a simple solution: set Global Rendering Quality from Custom to Low-End or Medium again. That did the trick for me: all the engine sounds are back. I have no clue what graphic setting could have messed up my sound (settings) nor do I understand the link. Does this help others?
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• YES
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
For me, whenever I have the ‘no engine sound’ bug the sim does not close properly using the normal “Quit to Desktop” button. It requires being ended via windows task manager.
Additionally:
I do not know if it is specifically related to aircraft, but once it happens it seems to effect other aircraft - even ones that have worked previously.
I can repro this bug with clear Community folder, BUT if I load with MSFS 2020 aircraft in Community folder and experience the bug again - then swapping to those local aircraft does not fix the issue, I cannot hear the sound when using them either.
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes, just start any flight with, in my case, the C172.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• For me this happens with the C172, but not, for example, with the XCub. So my audio settings are not the problem.
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• NA
I tried all the suggested fixes and they all only work intermittently. Eventually the sound is gone again. It seems to be pure coincidence that the sounds come back after a certain action.
I tried:
- checking the mixer for multiple instances – wasn’t it
- deleting the streamed packages – wasn’t it
- turning on/off the headphone simulation – wasn’t it
- turning on/off the loudness limiter – wasn’t it
- running FS2024 as admin – wasn’t it
It’s pretty much guaranteed to be a bug that needs to be fixed on Asobo’s part. All possible user solutions presented are just placebos or plain luck.
First time it didn’t work for me either, but at that time I had still all kinds of bandwidth issues. Somehow these have now been solved (I now have up to 300 Mbps) and removing the streamed package did work. It is either luck or after the previous attempt the sound package still did not download properly. YMMV.
How is this still broken??? I had a good run of it working for a few days without issue and then go to do a new certification in the 172 and the engine audio goes again. Surely this should be fixed by now
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• No cockpit sound eg. with the included Boeing 787, no GPWS callouts
I am using 1.1.10.0 Premium Deluxe Version
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
• Same behaviour of the audio mixer in Windows as described.
When resetting the windows audio mixer there remains at least two instances of MFSF 2024, one with 100 adjustable, one with 1 greyed out and not adjustable.
NEW INFO
In my case it was definitely not a problem of the two instances within the audiomixer.
I got the issue solved for me (and the greyed out instance with level 1 greyed out is still active, but has no impact)
The solution was mentioned by corvus5624 on Dec 5, but I could not find the correct path for my MS Store installation.
Here it is:
`C:\Users\YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\StreamedPackages
Here I deleted all folder for the airplane I had audio problems with, in my case all
asobo-aircraft-B787-10* folders.
After the FS restart the deleted folders where downloaded new automatically and all audio was there (Cockpit sound, engine sound, GPWS callouts, etc.)
Hi, The only solution that worked for me was reinstalling the MSFS 2024. It took only 10 minutes and the Joystick and keyboard bindings remained the same due to the cloud-saved settings.
But make sure to screenshot the graphic settings! I’ll need to set them up again.
Weird bug - comes and goes. But Windows audio has always been wonky, and when you layer Microsoft on top of Microsoft, Voila!
This just happened again to me, I’ve got my desk speakers plugged into the headphone jack of my LG UltraGear monitor and using a DisplayPort cable to connect it to my PC.
What I did to get my sound back in Windows 11, opened Control Panel and clicked on Sound.
From the sound pop-up, momentarily disabled my default device and then went into the sim and selected headphones instead.
Then I re-enabled my default device and back in the sim settings, reselected my default device and sound came back on.
Hope that helps someone.
Not sure how my sound came to go off again, I started the sim from XBox Game Pass same as normal but the sound wasn’t working and the multiple instances appears under my volume mixer again.
disabling loudness limiter made the cockpit sounds come back for me
I’ve tried multiple fixes posted here and in other threads, the ONLY one that works is the one about deleting the files in the sim folder, do not even bother with mixers, in-game settings meddling and similar nonsense stuff, none of it works, I dare to say that people writing that stuff are trolls, DO NOT REINSTALL the sim, the issue will come back anyway.
