The missing and inaccurately rendered mountains have a different cause. It‘s not a bug but because they use a rather poor digital elevation model (DEM) for some areas (e.g. the alps). They announced that they are going to improve it in their world updates. Japan has already been updated. The next region will be the US which should get an even more detailed DEM. They haven‘t said anything about the alps yet but I‘m sure it will follow at some point, hopefully soon. Here‘s a thread covering this topic:
