Happy new year! This weekend we will tour the Eastern Alps, starting in southern Bavaria, Germany on the island Herreninsel (EDB2) in the Chiemsee (lake). From there we will fly south, winding and climbing our way through the Alps. Halfway will be a challenging climb that leads to the equally challenging high-altitude Weißsee airstrip (LOB1; add-on) at 7600ft. After passing the highest point near the Großglockner Mtn. (9000ft) we will descend into Tirol and end up in the Italian foothills and touchdown next to the Tagliamente river at LIOS.
8 landings in total, of which airstrips LOB1 and EDB2 are specially created for this event. Total distance is 160nm. The highest point we will pass over is around 9,000 feet. The shortest runway is about 1200 feet (LIID)!

To join:
- Make sure you join our Bush Divers Discord channel .
- Download the ZIP-file with the 2 custom airstrips, linked below and place them in your Community-folder. Optionally you can also install the two excellent mods to get world-wide powerlines, solar farms and ski-lifts. Especially in the mountainous Alps this really adds to the low-level flying experience.
- Just turn up at the starting airport in a suitable aircraft, MSFS multiplayer on, name tags on, and join the Discord “The Bush Divers Invitational” voice channel. You can load the flight plan if you like, or just follow the group.
2 Custom add-on airstrips: LOB1 and EDB2 (15.0 KB)
MSFS flightplan: EasternAlps (EDB2-LIOS).pln (22.2 KB)
LittleNavMap flightplan: EasternAlps (EDB2-LIOS).lnmpln (17.3 KB)
These two packs add to the fun in the Alps.
