Bush Trips - Choice of aircraft

I really enjoy the bush trips, but I would prefer to be flying “my own” aircraft, ie the 172. I am trying to do so properly and the bush trips make it so much more fun , but I am not interested in learning the nuances of other aircraft until I am confident in this one. My FI agrees. Other thoughts?

Extract the PLN files from the Mission folders for each bush trip. Load them into an External flight planner like Little Nav Map. Edit the plans so you can do one leg at a time or however many you’d like to sit through in a flight. Save it back out as a PLN file. Load it in the sim at the World Map. You can now use any plane, any time, any weather.

That’s how I’ve been doing my Deconstructed Bush Trips.

i change the aircraft in many of the Bushtrips, i just finished one with a kitfox :stuck_out_tongue:
its not really suggested but … can be done
i wrote this some time ago so a few of my friends could join me on the Alaska trip (we enabled mp), but at the bottom you will find the edit you make to the .flt file for the aircraft (i would advise changing it back after, Always backup any files Before you edit)

and Be Sure to read the disclaimer at the bottom

You can just use MissionChanger to change the Aircraft, Weather and set Day/Time:

If some Payware aircraft are not shown, please contact me.

VERY Cool util @BuffyGC, i will be testing/using this for sure
ive used your BushTripInjector and love the work you’ve done Thank You
i do a couple other changes (maybe you could incorporate them eventually?)
this is me putting in a plea for multiplayer turned on :stuck_out_tongue: its just a simple switch comment hahaha
and weather you already have on the todo list so fantastic
(i can get live weather but its not ‘changable’ or anything in mission)

OP this would be a lot cleaner/easier a method (be sure to follow the advice and backup everything)

Hi EzRyder, thanks for praise.

Weather is already changeable with MissionChanger, MultiPlayer is on the way. And of course, I’m happy if anyone is contributing to it and implement own ideas. That’s why it is MIT and available on Git with all sources.

Thanks again

Thanks for that, interesting, but a bit beyond my skill profile. I am a simple soul, I just want to push the button that says “choose aircraft”. I would prefer to spend time learning flying skills rather than computer skills. Thanks anyway, if I ever master littlenavmap I might give it a try.
