I’m on the last leg of the first Bush Trip activity, and I’ve got to say kudos to Asobo for making this one of the highlights of the MSFS 2020 experience. Sure, there’s an occasional seam in the texture tiles, but the scenery is absolutely gorgeous.
The Nav Log is so artfully written… really beautiful prose that’s a pleasure to read, but can be quite challenging - a special thank you for that - surprising how much it adds to the immersion. They could have made directions quite dry, but someone put some real love into it.
Its amazing to be able to REALLY fly vfr following dirt roads, canyons and rivers, and everything is 90% there… and thats on my mediocre hardware graphics setup.
Looking forward to the rest of the bush trips, and I hope the Team includes some African bush trips soon. Asobo has been taking alot of heat on the boards lately, but thanks guys for taking the flight sim experience to the next level.
While there are aspects of the release that have aggravated me, including a myriad of bugs and missing features - there are also aspects of the simulator that do indeed blow me away, and remind me that with continued work from the developers and the community, MSFS 2020 has the potential to be something pretty amazing.
The Landing Challenges and Bush Trips convinced me the game was in a releasable state. There was a lot of thought put into them, more than the FSX missions in my opinion.
I have not done the set bush trips yet but I have been doing my own an, I must say, it is very very good. Turns out I am not as good a pilot as I thought! Cheers.
