I’m new to the forum and not totally sure if this is the best place to post?
I am trying to assign the autopilot controls to buttons on my velocity one yoke. I can successfully get most things working. But certain functions just won’t work and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
For example I can’t find any assignment for ‘flight level change’ that actually works. I can interact with the button using my mouse. But the assigned button doesn’t work. I have tried ‘toggle flight level change’ and ‘turn on flight level change’. but they do not activate the flc.
I’ve got similar issues with hdg mode and auto throttle.
Other functions like ‘toggle autopilot master’ does work. And the heading bug and altitude bug works. Also I can change the ref speed fine.
I’m trying this in both the 747 and the airbus jets and neither seem to respond to flc or hdg select.
Any tips on how to get it working? Or general principles on assigning autopilot functions to buttons?
