No. It’s clear skies when you’re high, then the minute you start the approach and get close to the runway, it can change all of a sudden. Not fun to descend below minimums and end up not seeing the runway because of fog or whatever.
It works when you are parked at an airport or flying a slow plane, but the minute you start moving around and flying at +150 knots the weather does not update fast enough. Also I believe it takes its data from METARs at different airports so the weather transitions between one area and the other are not correctly implemented.
Anyway, I don’t want to divert the thread to something else so going back to Orbx, if they want to put their brand name everywhere as they do now, I think they should smoke test their 3rd party addons before making them available in their marketplace.
