C-172 version with carb heat

Currently, both the C-172 g1000, and the classic version are both fuel injected models. Carbureted C-172’s are very common in the aviation world, especially with flight schools. It would be really nice to see a carbureted model in Flight Simulator 2020 or 2024.

I agree! Partly because the Gear-Falcon FCP172A has a carb heat controller. Also have only ever flown older (real) 172s.

I haven’t heard of Gear-Falcon before, but that controller looks great! Currently I use the 3D printed Flight Sim Stuff TPM which I got made with a carb, throttle, mixture configuration - it does the job and it has held up well, but it would be nice to have actual vernier controls. I still use it while flying the 172 in the sim just to maintain the muscle memory and procedures for when I’m in the real deal, but it’s not the same when it doesn’t have any effect on the aircraft… Still holding out hope that we get an older model C-172 in the sim at some point!
